This drama has haunted me for 25 years. Now it is back... not the remake but the what it was saying... Afghanistan, Nuclear waste and the black flowers...
Yes it so sad that he died and I just found out not too long ago. I always repeat that line from Jurassic Park where he gets all dramatic and says "Quiet, all of you, they are approaching the Tyrannosaur Paddock." I loved Bob PEck he was my hero :( RIP
That too bad. I loved that actor. And I had no idea he died. When I was a kid I would like to go out into the woods with my friends and dress up like him in Jurassic Park. ^___^ Yep had had the hat and all. XD
Remakes never seem to work. The producers seem to bogged down by using "stars" who they hope will do a better job than the originals and compuer generated special effects to make up for poor scripts and even poorer character portrayals by these so called "stars." Best left alone and enjoy the original....
True, true and ever so true when it comes to this masterpiece.
Joe Don Baker, Bob Peck, Joanne Whalley - they all did such brilliant work together with the crew. A classic I will never forget. Saw it on video again, last night. I probably will in another ten years, too. Cheers! Happy new year!
I agree, probably the best series ever on TV. Still watch it occasionally. Loved Joe Don Baker's mystical CIA muses. Still good to get angry about the activities of government and big business! Though the more it changes the more it stays the same...
I couldn't believe how Joe Don Baker could go on to make crud like Mitchell and Final Justice, when he can obviously be a real actor when given a good script. I heard he was so impressed by the script for EoD that he reduced his usual fee.

Bob Peck is aazing in this. The moment here where he cradles Emma just after she's been shot brings a tear to my eye

It's been a long time since I saw this, but do we ever discover the identity of the hooded figure who guns Emma down? Was it that McCroon guy?
NathanF11989 3 years ago
Yes, it was McCroon.
*SPOILER WARNING*
Craven learns McCroon was ordered to kill both Craven and Emma by Northwood.

This has to be damn near the best TV series ever. Not a shadow of a doubt.
