I saw this a couple of weeks ago and I really liked it. I liked it so much that I actually looked it up right now to see it again. You're an outstanding performer. The way you're not afraid to perform each word of this poem by both your intonation and facial expressions is really amazing. I don't know if you were selected or not, but you should know that this performance is something to be proud of.

I was there for the Poetry Out Loud Competition 2009, I was in the stands for hours, watching every poem that appeared beneath me. You Maya Haines, you are an inspiration to me. The way you deliver your words is astounding. I one day hope to be able to stand on the State Championship stage to perform with you and all the other great Reciters. In my opinion, I think you would have done well at Nationals. Actually, you would have thrived.
