She (Dorcus)directs waaaayyy better than he does. He(David) just be throwing up his arms....HAHA. I believe he directs songs because he been done wrote them and perhaps want to make sure they are sung the way he wants them to be.
@jddrew1000 David still directs. On the new video, he's at least directing about 3 to 4 songs. I believe he has groom Mrs. Docus Thigpen over the years now she can take most of the directing and he can play more. Mississippi Mass Choir has come from mighty long way from just having 2 directors of him and Jerry Smith alternating, to having all 3 of them directing.
