Maybe you can try to replace one of Ganon's ADAs with a Fsmash (so the bag flies away, and you can spike and hit it when it comes back) for more damage? :)
It would take more time, but just a little bit more, and to compensate there's actually an ending that takes less time: Ganon RWP and Pit fwd+B. Bit harder to set up. I don't think I'll be trying this again though.

He's right anyway: when one player controls both characters. Of course, this mode uses lots of pauses in order to be able to play two characters at once.
