In my class when we dissect eyes you can see this. All you have to do is cut around the circumference, around the middle. Then the vitreous humor will pour out, the gel that takes up most of the eye, and do your best to make sure the lens is still there, that helps. Then i have the students hold up the eye and look through it like it's their own, and you can see that everything is upside down, that's how much the lens and cornea refract or bend the light and it's the brain that flips images
