I think the atmosphere for the most part is much better in this version of this musical, but I think the singing and this song especially is MUCH better done in the more recent version. The people coming out of nowhere, the dancing approach to the ruins... Really now... The newer version's tenseness, then the fight, which is clearly shown to not be what Jesus wants, then the singing and dancing and handing out weapons, in my opinion that scene is MUCH better done in the more recent version.
