  • Van Cliburn played in Moscow in the late fifites, too... nice touch by Ronald Reagan.

I think Benny Goodman played in Moscow around that same time in the late fifties.

  • What a warm and lovely human being. Thank you Van. You are a grace and an inspiration.

  • Van Cliburn does seem like a nice guy.

  • Reagan single handidly brought down the Iron Curtain, how can you not love him?

  • not really ... it just colapsed on its own...

  • @Cmey2k LOL NO HE DID NOT

Reagan actually made things worse before he made a reversal of policy due to populace pressure.

  • @Cmey2k Reagan didn't do it all by himself. The Soviet Union was decaying by the 1970's and it was only a matter of time before the rot took them down. The Pope had a huge part it it too.

  • Reagan may not have been my favorite president, but I am VERY grateful to him for calling on Van Cliburn for this event. After this concert, Van started performing publicly again and sounds better than ever!

  • Van is such an incredible person! He is an inspiration to me, always!!!

  • More Van please, less lady.

  • Back cold runner.

  • Who's the woman that's interviewed?

  • It is, it is.

  • Clibern is the best! But Gorbachev... Wasn't it the meeting when he sold Soviet Union and all of it's people to USA? I live in this horrible country unfortunately for 14 years and haven't had any reason to celebrate or even be in a good mood ever since I came here but the day that PIG Gorbachev dies I will sure celebrate!!!

  • That better not be MY country you're talking about...

  • True Greatness. Many Thanks.

  • This video is inspiring. It shows that one person can indeed make a difference for good.
