  • Problems with this install:

1 - No pre-slope beneath the liner...so water that might get to the pan has no gravity effect directing it to the adjustable ring drain, so water sits on the flat liner and ...well...we have all smelled stinky bathrooms where the mold is not seen...but to the nose.

2 - Concrete and water mud for the pan...not " dry pack " aka " deck mud "

3 - No blocking between the studs - to support the liner

4 - No leak test was performed - Inspector would have failed this here

  • Hmmm a 10 Gallon bucket ----- i think that observation sort of sets the standard for this video

  • This chick is hilarious... She should wear a thong while doing this project so that the plumbers crack is more appealing.

  • The cement board on the walls goes down OVER the liner that's tacked to the wall. That way if it ever did lead water would stay in the liner. The cement board meets the cement basin and makes a watertight overlap to put the tile on.

  • OMG REALLY??? And the DIY network supports this junk

  • I would kick this bitch out of my house if she attempted to do this crap.

  • holy hackery !!

  • too wet

  • 10 gallon bucket? WTF !!!! and that is the stupidest layout ever....

    no preslope?

this woman is an idiot and so is anyone who follows this advice

as well as purposly filling the corners with the membrane flaps..

this should be called screw it up by yourself.

also lines are useless you use the level on the drypack dummy

  • I'd have liked to know what the walls were inside the shower.. did they tile it or was that cement?

  • I need I woman like that!

  • I prefer a mic of 3 to 1 Portland cement and sand mixed with quickrete bonding agent instead of water.

  • saved 600 dollars only. damn i would have charged more to do a bathroom like that. cheap bastards cant pay 600 dollars for installation.

  • Didn't hear anything about presloping prior to the liner.

  • Very good for my purposes!!!
