  • The popping and locking has the onus of Michael Jackson upon it! That is why I try to distance myself from that style do not forget that I had studied with Serena and Nagwa Fowad! 1980's.

  • I don't understand how this isn't huge everywhere. I started looking into bellydance out of curiosity and came across TF, now I'm practicing all the time on my own. Why is this not being taught everywhere. Love the work you guys are doing and please, please come home and teach us!

Frustrated Kel from middle England x

  • @kelinab

The reason why Tribal Fusion isn't so big is because it's probably one of the hardest styles of belly dance to learn. I read in an article that TF also branches away from the 'Tribal' portion of belly dance. Some tribal fusion dancers incorporate dance interpretation into their dances that it sometimes is seen as Dance Theater. Not that there is anything wrong with it, I'm a dancer myself and it's interesting to see how different people dance.

  • East Texas anyone?

  • Took a workshop with Samantha, wonderful woman and very good instructor.

  • it's nce to know a litle more about her, i'm triying to get to SF, but first i have to finish school, make some money and other stuff, i'm in a tire retread plant, was mi dad's, a lot of responsabilities and lot's to learn from, yet, ill keep dancing, i know i will get there sooner or later.

  • Thank you for the inspiration!!

  • i dont like sadie someone is better than someone else. everyone has there own style an its all very beautiful. dance is period. i love samantha. shes very talented =)

  • These girls are very lovely, and they dance pretty well... but they are far from superstars!! Their are so many dancer far better than what I am seeing in these vids. I don't get it... Rachel Brice is good... but she's not the end all be all... check out

    Sadie for instance. : )

  • each one has thier own style and ppl like a certain style. it would be better to say "I like that style or that style but is not good to say that you don't like that person".

  • Oh GOD! This has put so much hope in me! I live in South West UK and I can't for the life of me find ANY classes that even skim NEAR Tribal Fusion! I've been living on Youtube videos for over 2 years! And I could hug to death the people that video-record the Tribal Festivals and tours. I don't know ANYBODY who has any passion for the art where I live except myself, would do anything to move to SF, thank-you ever so much for this video it means a lot :) ♥

  • LOL I feel your pain. I live on the central Oregon coast which is about 8 hours North of San Fran, but I also have a 3 year old son so I have yet to make it down there. (I'm so close I can hear the zills practically) I have to make due with seeing the dancers when they pass through. Having said that, I have some excellent up close footage of Zoe Jakes on my channel if you want to check it out :) Good luck to you.

  • @sweetpeaomine

but I live in sweden!! =(=(=( can you imagen how frustrated I'am...=(

  • It's SO great that Sam is bringing it all back here. Now she is starting to teach in the UK and many more people will be able to get (some of) the benefit of what she learned in the States without having to go out there themselves.

She looks fantastic and really is one of the best dancers out there, very very creative. Plus she has a great choice for her favourite movie.

  • Wow=) thats amazing!

  • she is beautiful in her belly dancing outfit

  • Amazing flow, too.

  • Quelle magnifique fusion flamenco/indidenne/orientale!

  • Cool she met Rachel Brice!!

  • She's with the Bellydance Superstars, she gets to dance with Rachel all the time

  • Any other videos on youtube of this dancer's performances? The bits you get to see of her dancing are really good, Id like to see more.

  • way to go!!!

  • Aww. What a great story... Makes me wanna just throw this all away and move back to good ol' California. The midwest got boring YEARS ago. :P

  • Thank u so much for posting this. I have also had no dance training and have been working from videos for the past 7 months. I got into a class finally but it is only one day a week for an hour. It's promising to know that u started working from videos for a year and now you are kickass! I feel less frustrated--thanks. Gotta go drill!

  • Fluid Precision, by kassar.

  • I have so much respect for Samantha for learning ATS first, before going into fusion. That's why she's such a wonderful fusion dancer...she has a proper base for the dance and knows how to use it. Good for her for following her dream...she deserves to be where she is now! :)

  • Thank you! There are so many fusion DVD's and classes around right now, but I'm taking straight-up tribal (and flamenco, odissi and hip-hop, whatever) for like 12 years before I get my fusion going! I wanna do it right.

  • yeah yeah come come!!!! pleaseeeeeee

  • Hey babe!!! Nice to hear your voice!!!
