@davidjjdj create a water plain, create a mountain, erode it, flatten it, apply a sand texture, lower it a bit into the water, and you get a beach. :P
@Tomasin19 Not quite sure, I've never learned any of those other programs. If they can import Bryce scenes then I guess you could, but other then that, as far as I know, Bryce only lets you export the models as different formats (like 3ds max and stuff), so you could export the terrains and stuff, but not the whole scene. :P
Wow!!!! I watched this in full screen mode and it was fantastic. Great lighting, great depth, great everything. Great job. I have a couple of Bryce animations posted here on Youtube, but not even close to your quality. I'm looking forward to more.
@Thomas1952 Thanks, Glad you liked it! =-) I just took a look at your channel and looked at a couple of your animations and they're pretty neat, they look way more complex then this one.
@petop3 Thanks! =-) The song is called "Stellar" by "D2K" or "D2K204". The music was made a long time ago by an old internet friend of mine who seems to have dissappeared. His music page is here: acidplanet. com/artist.asp?songs=402238&T=9572 (just remove the space) if you wanted to d/l it or hear his other music, but it hasn't been updated since July 08...
@TheKjex Thanks. =-) hmm, so you generated a water plane, generated a mountain, eroded the mountain, lowered its height, streached its length and width, put the bottom below the water a bit and changed the water to a non transparent texture and it didn't look right? hmm those are all the steps I did so idk why it wouldn't look right. perhaps it needs to be streached more or height adjusted or eroded more or brought under or out of the water more? :-\
@stark096 ya lol. I originally had even more but it kept crashing Bryce. :P Although I got Bryce 7 a couple months ago and haven't had a chance to do anything except mess around a bit in it and it seams a whole lot nicer for working with trees and stuff compared to the older versions.
@DVLIAC You just basically set up a couple trees then select the terrain you want them on. Then click the instancing button and it gives you a top view of the terrain and a paint brush and you select the percent you want of each tree and how many you want then just paint them on the terrain and it does all the work for you... could have a full forest in a couple min. =-) Should be fun when I get around o making another scene. :P
@Ultraraidem94 umm go to top view (2) and select the mountain and drag the black dots around the montain to pick your size, then go to side view (3) and adjust the height by draging the top black dot to either side.
@peeperman99 The easiest way is to click the little circle on the bottom right of the screen to bring up the time line controls. Then just select the camera and hit the + next to the key. Then move the time line slider ahead a few sec. Then move your camera to where you want it to be in a few sec. Then click the + next to the key again. Now there should be a line between where your camera was and where it is now. this line is the path your camera will follow.
then again, move the time line slider ahead a few sec, move the camera, then hit the + again. A new line will be added to the last and continue doing this until your happy with the camera path. Then go file>>animation setup and set a fps. 15 is default but 25-30 is your standard movie fps. the higher the fps, the smoother the animation will be but the longer it will take to render.
After you set a fps, click the check mark to save it, then go to file>>>render animation ans set where you want to save it to then click the check mark and it will start rendering the animation. Just make sure before you start rendering that you in the camera view mode (1) and not like a top down view.
@zaneM100 Like what computer do I make the animations on? If thats what your asking, I make it on a Windows XP computer with a Intel Core 2 Quad q9450 @3.2GHZ, with 4gb ddr3 1600 ram, and 2, 512mb nvidia 9800gtx video cards. (although gpu's really have no effect on Bryce, because it pretty much does everything on the cpu :P)
This is really awesome. My one suggestion, because it would make this even better, would be to add roll the the camera as you take turns instead of leaving it flat on horizon plane. You use the pitch and yaw to show off the landscape but it would really enhance the feel of flying to roll the top of the camera toward the turns.
Wow! This certainly makes tree a slow poke vid! This is very well done! Nice work. Im impressed. 5*****! I know a little bit about Bryce, so I can see the work here.
Great news on Bryce7. I downloaded the beta but have not had the chance to load it up yet. I hope to be impressed. Greg.
AHHH how do you get the sandy beeches?

Hi,
I'm doing a project about an island for geography
I have to create my own island and use three components: Plains, Plateau's and Mountains.
Quick question, did your island consist of these three things? Message back soon
IceDancer2014 2 months ago
@IceDancer2014 Hmm mountains, but don't think really any Plains or Plateau's...
