Great memories of my yesteryear. Not sure about the bar but could be The Dug-Out just off the top of Park Street or The Bamboo Club off Portland Square in St Paul's.
I have to keep looking at this. Can't believe I was born into such a different Bristol - Or how smart people could be. Do you know where the bar featured at 3:30 is/was? Looks like some kind of dock workers place. Fascinating.
