  • Class! Lovely! Hats off, madame!

  • @Kipicus Seriusly

  • Omg i figured it out! you have tits! You ARE a woman.

  • @casomaticvvh If you would like to define "tits" as breasts, then I would like to submit that men have tits too; however if you are specifically defining "tits" as being the vulgar term for women's breasts, then I would say you are correct, sir or madam.

  • Yep, i didnt know who Klaus Nomi was until about 10 seconds ago lol.

  • Who the hell are you??? I've been watching this for ages lol. Great stuff. x

  • @TheSpikefm Lol, I don't know how to answer that question, not that I don't know who I am, but that I'm not certain on what way you mean to pose the question. (I sense existentialism is about to rear it's ugly head.)

  • Nice jacket.

  • Hmm, that's a surprisingly attractive look on a female.

  • Love it! It's like your his daughter

  • I think you pull it off to the best of your look/ability. I admire you for being brave enough to attempt this; because I don't think anyone could REALLY look like Klaus :)

  • i love this! (and you)

  • I feel like I'm on a bad acid trip :/

  • major respect for this!!!:)

  • I thought you should know that I love you for this video.. Just saying.

  • Now I want to be Klaus Nomi for Halloween. :D

  • This video brings me deep and inexplicable joy. I see what you're up to, though. You realize how cool it would be if _you_ had a beautiful, operatic falsetto. I pray that whatever blocks this wish clears.

  • @2schizzy I think it would be great to have a beautiful ranger in general. Versatility is key to being a great singer in my book. x3 And don't pray for me, it makes my skin burn. But thank you for the sentiment.

  • @Kipicus @Kipicus My prayers to _Thoth_ made your skin burn? Dash it all. I shall have to switch to Coldmeister. Unless, of course, burning skin is _supposed_ to happen with prayers to Thoth... ; )

  • you should do that at your school talent show.

    you'd come in first.

  • @wevor4tard I stopped going to school 7 years ago, but I appreciate the sentiment. I have won a gold metal... in my heart. *lolololol*

  • The Twist is the dirty dubstep drop at the end

  • Klaus is spinning in his grave. This is a travesty.

  • @mg196 Meh.

  • nice smooth dancing :)

  • mmmmm, sorry, i don't like!

  • love it

  • Fabulous performance! You got the essense of Klaus Nomi down perfectly. He would be proud :)

Anyone who has anything negative to say about this video doesn't know art. Period!

  • Awesome. As for the haters, who cares if they don't get it? Most people are idiots.

  • He started the "Goth" fad.

  • @MsMirandaXoxo Hi, my name's Hannah and I approve this message.

  • @Kipicus i also approve this message...he is a pioneer of style

  • hes different guys dont you get it

  • @Beezology I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Internet is not good for projecting sarcasm through tone of voice and facial expression.

  • nice!!!!

  • @aybitchdontdodat Yep, make up originates from tribes men using pigmentation to mark their skin in use in different ceremonies. Hasn't really changed much over the years. xD Either way, I'm a girl... not that it's relevant to your point, and in the end, me being a girl doesn't matter in this circumstance. Guys can dance if we want to... they can leave your friends behind, because your friends don't dance and IF they don't dance then they're no friends of mine. -does the robot- :D

  • Good enough for me...thankyou!

  • Guys, i think this "dude" has tits.

  • Strangely cool dude :-)

  • @casondratravassos Wow, someone needs a Pamprin.

  • @Kipicus or a Midol ha ha haaaaaaaaa xD

  • @Kipicus lol

  • ow and btw. emo's should find their own style and not copying styles from goth's/ punkers en metalheads.

we hate emo's because they copy evrything and then sell it as their own idea.

emo's have so wisdom in music history. so they say that bands as "black sabbath" or "iron maiden" are emo

and that is just bad. emo's should learn what the alternative scene is about and not be so look @ me, look @ me. i'm a emo and i hate the world.

let's just hope that this emo hype will be over soon.

  • @laladieladada Emo, Goth, Punk, Metal Heads. It is really only the individual that can define something in confidence, in that event, the definition only applies to them. So to say, "You are Emo." is both right and wrong at the same time. It is, in your world, what Emo is. But may or may not be emo by someone else's standards. So I really don't know why a relative labeling of a specific style is bothering you so much, unless you have some personal problem with it, which it seems you do. Hmmm.

  • @Kipicus

I don't know why people are bagging on you. I WAS there when Nomi was alive and well, and saw him live with Bowie and all that Even then, it makes me no expert on what is what category. I think that many of these categories were really just away to organize LPS back in the Record Store days. Since there aren't any record shops anymore, we ought to stop.

I happened to enjoy your little video. If you are an "EMO", So what? Keep doing what you are doing, and enjoy it.

  • @haitipi Honestly, I considered my self goth back in the day, but at the end of it all, stores slowly started replacing goth product with this new genre called Emo. Regardless of the Emo take over, it was about time I got a real job, so I washed the blue and black out of my hair and donated all my black clothes (all my clothes), but I never got rid of my trench coat! I also wore my big black boats until the souls literally fell off of them. That was the end of a very awesome time in my life. :3

  • @haitipi Yeah, Emo came around after high school, so it was created by the kids a few generations younger than me. It is kind of sad that you can't really find Goth things in stores (around my area) like you used to. I miss the whole motif, I never really associated with Emo, simple because it really isn't of my generation, that's not to say I don't like it, I love that kids have created something of their own. I don't know why Emo has such a bad wrap. Emotion is very important. Oh well. :3

  • @Kipicus

Personally, I am going through a no haircut or shave phase. Kind of a mid-life crisis at 46, no I am 47 now.

But I can remember in high school, when I was a long haired punk, into Ramones and some of the new so called "Punk Bands" (We're talkin' 1978). I would hear all the nasty comments and it kept me going. Now, 30 years later, I see little kids with RAMONES shirts and people love Klaus.

Ya Gotta Love it! Like I said, keep doin' what yer doing!

  • @haitipi I've been through the whole, "be true to your self" deal. I actually realized that when you're not true to your self can get to a pretty dark place, and after it was all said and done, I decided that I know my self better than anyone else, so I stopped listening to people a LONG time ago. This video WAS my moms idea, but I wanted to do it because I love Klaus Nomi, wanted makeup, and really wanted to sing along with the Twist. Great song, kinda freaky, kinda kooky, kinda weird. ;D

  • @aybitchdontdodat I use the word emo as a direct insult becasue every sub culture thinks the other one is "doing it wrong." Goths hate emos becasue the yare "wearing black wrong." That's why I choose to call you emo. Not for how you dress or act, but becasue of the elitism you invoke over retarded shit that any sane or well educated person would laugh at your for. Oh and before you mention a book once, i'd like to point out that any well educated person wouldn't listen to Klaus fucking Nomi.

  • @aybitchdontdodat People buy into whatever culture benifits them the most. You dress strange beacsue it makes you feel special, to be different. How does anything of what you just said not make you a hipster?

  • Is that honestly the only thing you got out of my comment?

  • @casondratravassos Use of the word fag is banned, you prat

  • @farfisa

Bitching about profanity makes YOU look like a massive prat.

Also, this video is a mockery, not a tribute. I don't care how hard he tried. Terrible.

  • @markx64 ahem,,,i think theres an certain kind of "appliance" store you could go to lol,,,but not to this video,,,

  • @Dravenswraith you've got a couple stuck up there already have you?

  • @farfisa sorry if i woke up your lil horny self....no i dont but if i did i would type like this....whhhhhat theee ffffff is wrong with ya lol i just want a lil respect for this artsy girl

  • mums going to be pissed when she comes home and find you've used her make up, i would take this video down to burn the evidence.

  • @ihaveyoureyes Uploaded by Kipicus on Jun 7, 2006, Dude, you are soooooo late. xD

  • Misleading title. Flagged.

  • Very nice! Well done!

  • keep singing him to sleep, good job

"but he came back as 'lard-hate'" GD IT

  • keep singing him to sleep, good job

  • I stumble across these videos every couple of months. I just watched The Nomi Song last night and it reminded me of them. Always entertaining.

  • Hi! It's beautyful. I like it.

  • you are awesome...

  • OH MY GOD THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!

  • I don't remember ever hearing of or seeing this performer before. Hoowever, 10 seconds into this video, I found myself wondering if Justin Bieber is his evil reincarnation.

  • @markx64 You tell me. You're obviously an expert.

  • @Kipicus ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaa xD The song itself is a good cover of the Twist and I don't think I've ever heard a cover of The Twist before ever. But Klaus Nomi looked so cute, sweet, and kooky-crazy when he was alive.

  • @Kipicus Which album of Klaus's is this cover of The Twist on anyway? Are Klaus's album's even still in print? Cause I've never looked for his stuff before.

  • @jrmetmoi This is a vinyl record called Klaus Nomi - Encore.

  • Beautiful :)

  • This is fantastic! What a great homage to Klaus. He would approve. :) I loved it.

  • This is the best cover Nomi ever sung. This is actually a good new version of The Twist

  • Yeah, I heard that singing it did a number on John Lennon's vocals. He had to strain his voice so hard to get the sound he wanted (in The Beatles version), and back then they didn't have the vocal training for such abusive straining like they did by the time the Grunge sound came along. Huh. Nomi, Lennon, and Cobain... none of these men would and should be dead. Sucks. D:

  • @Kipicus yep he did that for twist and shout, he was sucking on a throat drop or two because of it

  • soooooooooooooo creeeeeeeeeppy

  • This is the first vid that had me questioning if Klaus was really a man (I detect breasts- and see no adam's apple) Either way...at least someone found a use for that terrible drum machine! (Besides, anyone immoratalized on the VENTURE BROTHERS rocks hardcore!) FIVE STARS!

  • This is great! Really, i love it.

  • I think you' re great.

  • LOL screw this shit

  • You've got big balls. Kudos.

  • She looks like Nina Hagen just getting out of bed.

  • This is great, I loved it! The eyebrows are well done! new subscriber.

  • I fucking Love that you did this. NO hate from me what so ever love.

  • I liked it ! But you would not hurt for most plastics and relaxedness take 100 grams of cognac.

  • FREAK!

  • nice Klaus homage :)

  • Ja. Bereue nichts!

  • ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN AMAZING! chk out the vid i did with my friend! :) we can collaborate or something lol

  • the thing about klaus is that his kind heart was the thing about klaus. aesthetics go only so far before one must flush the toilet.

  • Man, every time Klaus Nomi says "Dooooo the twisttt" I swear I keep thinking he is saying "Coooooookiiieee crisp"

  • LET'S DOOOOOOO THE TWISTTTT

  • beautiful

  • your lips are painted black so we can see them and know what you are saying.

    BRAVO

  • Fantastico ;-)

  • Is this the goth version of Klaus Nomi?

  • q porqueria

  • @masterguru20 You're a porqueria. :B My stuff is like minty awesomeness.

  • Great video, seen it before a long while ago, its a great tribute to one of the unsung icons from the past who was yrs ahead where music was concerned . it would have been an honour to have attended his concerts but alas i only became aware of his music the day the music died.

  • I did not know Jim Sterling did this in his free time.

  • I dunno why but for some reason this song and your outfit/make-up totally make me think I would find this in some Tim Burton film haha...Good job though RIP Klaus <3

  • this song is amazing if ur high lol

  • You come across as a tremendously fun human.

  • amazing :)

  • que hace este PUTO!

    ni siquiera se parece

  • you rule!! great!!

  • Klaus Nomi wanted to bring dreams and magic into this world. If people dedicate him videos, it means that he succeed.

He had the voice of an angel, I hope he is with others now.

Thank you for this video and by the way this black make up suit you very well :)

  • LUV IT!

go head baby fuck what the haters say! pay homage to the king of weird all you want to:D

  • pedaso de mierda anda aserte el invesil a otro lado xD no trates de imitar lo ke no eres ...

  • Great job!!!!!!!!

  • this mother fucker is begging for a dick in his ass and sperm in his face atleast i think its a guy if its a girl fuck what i just said.

  • Get a life, seriously.

  • @AnAverageBeing yeah she made 2 Youtube videos a few years ago when she was a teenager and Youtube was new, and therefore she has no life. Right..

  • that was beautiful. i love the sparkle in your eyes at the end.

  • Lame. There's nothing worse than a copycat.

    Get your own style.

  • :) Nice job.

  • Cool.

  • wonderful :)

But you should work on the eyes.

    "The stare" is missing

dont think you cant be as amacing as he was

you will find your own style soon :) and Im sure you will be amacing

  • пафосная херня. Клаус в гробу перевернулся бы.

  • Is that a girl? I just cannot tell. It...looks like one, but I'm sure. It's killing me.

  • actually thats a tribute to the poster since klaus himself was otherworldy

  • I think it was fabulous.......Klaus Nomi was a brilliant artist, and like then, most people aren't going to understand it........BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? You don't want to be MOST PEOPLE!

  • crap, pulp, throwaway music, that goes into the left ear and straight out of the right ear. proves that most part of the music from the eighties really sucked!!

  • Was this you? Lol this is awesome!

  • VERY GOOD! hahah klaus has returned

  • Wonderful tribute to the great Klaus.

  • I know all about Drag, being doing it all my life, errinndoores is just another name i use(her in doors)!?

You may have been doing the twist spontaneously but it worked well.

you should try doing a serious adaptation and find your own fans.

And i stick by my words that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Good luck for the future, you certainly made me smile, and thats special, its what KN would have wanted!

  • @errindoores (Going threw old comments) :3 I considered being a Drag King, and as much as I love performing, I don't think it's in the cards for me. I'm kind of a boring person in real life. With Cats. Three of them. And I Knit. And I don't wear make-up. And I stopped dying my hair. ANYWAY! I would LOVE to see a Drag show though. Queens are so gorgeous! It would be so bitch'n! D: As for me, I'll stick to my art, sketching! wooh, the most boring form of art.

  • what the FU

  • It's called 2am, bored as hell. No, this was not preplanned, we just did it for the fuck of it. Plus, we love Nomi, so why not dress up in drag and sing a song to one of our Nomi Records. Hah. I regret nothing!

  • @Kipicus Seriously....for a second...I thought this was the official video!!!!

  • @Kipicus You look like an emo transvesstite.

  • @pliskin100 - refrain from using emo here. The look that Kipicus is portraying predates all that rotted emo bullsh** by 30 years. This is the new-romantic look from the late 70's and early 80's.

  • @templeoftherisendead That's what I find strange. Klaus dressed weird for the sake of being weird. There wasn't any symbolism or deeper meaning. The guy was just weird, and when he's imitated by social rejects who don't understand certain concepts, I feel it is my job to call them out on their bullshit.

  • @pliskin100 - Then you might enjoy Nina Hagen, Diamanda Galas, Lene Lovich, Fad Gadget, Visage, Ultravox!, Electric Hellfire Club and put together that these people along with Klaus Nomi were part of a scene that they created that just happens to attract what you're calling social rejects. It's the mainstream norm/types that come up with the conspiracy theories & attach symbolism to a fabulous movement that still exists for people who don't follow the trends of what's acceptable.

  • @templeoftherisendead They attracted social rejects becasue they dressed like jack skelington. I mean, you have so many sub cultures of goth like emo, and whatever klaus was, which is just an image. They're selling an image and you guys bought into it.

  • @pliskin100 - Who attracted social rejects ? Kids your age ? The Blitz kids went way back to the mid & late 70's. This scene you claim to know about existed before you were born, so come back with a scene you know something about. You obviously didn't check out the bands I told you to look up. Those bands existed because of a scene. These people never called themselves outcasts. That's your definition, cause you weren't there.Jack Skellington is a figment of Tim Burton's imagination. You fail !

  • @templeoftherisendead Oh, man. You totally got me. Too bad klaus was a maryiln manson wannabe who died becasue he was a massive faggot. You fail !

  • @pliskin100 Why don't you learn to spell "Marilyn" and "because" right? Also a course (if you can get admitted to any college--my suggestion is try Kaplan ) in Elementary Logic may help clear up your cloudy thinking. M Manson was 14 when Klaus died and was still masturbating in his grandfather's basement--alone. You obviously know next to nothing about art, history, chronological order or pop culture. So shutup already!

  • @templeoftherisendead

You posted some incredible feedback. My hat is off to you sir!

Thank you for defending the scene!

  • @templeoftherisendead

Your words of counsel are right on 100%. I started coming into my own form in the late 70s and even though we (my crowd) each had our own style and specific music tastes. I first saw Nomi, for example on a cable music show, and later on Urgh, a Music War. Most of my friends thought that it was too fucked up, whereas, I was mesmerized. . Then again, I was into Hagen, Lawns, UV, Kraftwerk, Tubeway Army, etc

I guess my Scene was whatever turned me on at that moment!

  • @templeoftherisendead

I bet you, Like I do as well, would like Dada! This was probably one of the better comments I have read on Youtube. Thank You.

  • @templeoftherisendead WELL SAID!! AND THANKS FOR SAYING IT!

  • @pliskin100 Great reply. Do what you want to do, I wish I had your chutzpah.

  • @carlsetzer Sorry bro, pretty sure nomi was just a sub par singer who looked like an emo transvestite.

  • imImitation is the sincerest form of flattery,

    Klaus Nomi was an Artist.

    You too are an Artist....Bravo!

Ignore the Bigots, and you will bury them in roses at your feet!

  • Danke Schoen!

How very poetic, it is appreciated.

  • 100% Faggot

  • @B1az3xGoiNxPRO 100% a straight girl who does not wear makeup and did an homage in an hour, to an artist she likes. sorry to crush your fantasy

  • gosh!

    :O

  • aí a mãe abre a porta do quarto e grita " que porra é essa?!?!?!" e ele derruba tudo no chão com o susto. ha ha ha. mas ficou bacana, boa homenagem.

  • you did the hair wrong and you did the eyebrows wrong FAGGOT

  • Claus Nomis spawned child 4 sure!
