Your words of counsel are right on 100%. I started coming into my own form in the late 70s and even though we (my crowd) each had our own style and specific music tastes. I first saw Nomi, for example on a cable music show, and later on Urgh, a Music War. Most of my friends thought that it was too fucked up, whereas, I was mesmerized. . Then again, I was into Hagen, Lawns, UV, Kraftwerk, Tubeway Army,etc
I guess my Scene was whatever turned me on at that moment!

With Cats. Three of them. And I Knit. And I don't wear make-up. And I stopped dying my hair. ANYWAY! I would LOVE to see a Drag show though. Queens are so gorgeous! It would be so bitch'n! The guy was just weird, and when he's imitated by social rejects who don't understand certain concepts, I feel it is my job to call them out on their bullshit.

@pliskin100 - Then you might enjoy Nina Hagen, Diamanda Galas, Lene Lovich, Fad Gadget, Visage, Ultravox!, Electric Hellfire Club and put together that these people along with Klaus Nomi were part of a scene that they created that just happens to attract what you're calling social rejects. It's the mainstream norm/types that come up with the conspiracy theories & attach symbolism to a fabulous movement that still exists for people who don't follow the trends of what's acceptable.

Your words of counsel are right on 100%. I started coming into my own form in the late 70s and even though we (my crowd) each had our own style and specific music tastes. I first saw Nomi, for example on a cable music show, and later on Urgh, a Music War. Most of my friends thought that it was too fucked up, whereas, I was mesmerized. . Then again, I was into Hagen, Lawns, UV, Kraftwerk, Tubeway Army,etc
I guess my Scene was whatever turned me on at that moment!
