  • How can one dislike this beautiful singing???

  • i love this, my mum used to sing it with me..... she's dead now...:(

  • @totallotrnutter she will be watching down on you and she will be happy that you remember that she used to sing it :) xxxx

  • aww wen i was in primary i sang this memories ha memories im in y7 now i cry all the time wen i here this coz it brings back memories lol:'( xoxoxoxo !!!!!

  • IMO the video is irrelevant and a distraction. A video of them, and all the others btw, actually singing what we are hearing would possibly have been of some interest as an addition.

  • This song is SO beautiful. I love the words, especially the last verse and the tune is just beautiful. These boys sing this song amazingly well.

  • my brother is on of them

  • Such pure voices in perfect harmony!

  • Tears in my eyes I still remember when I was a choir soprano boy and sang christmas carols like for 6 years :(

  • i soooo want to sing this in our really fail as chior :D

  • Oh my God words cannot explain how beautiful this is.

  • I was going to be one of them!!! till my voice broke...

  • One of my favorite Christmas songs. We sang it in my High School choir for a Winter Concert (I as a Soprano), and it was the most beautiful, reverent Christmas song I have ever sung. Hearing it now still brings tears to my eyes. It touches the heart of hearts.

Blessed Yeshua Messiah of Nazareth, Savior of the World via the Father, through whom we may press toward the mark of a higher calling. Peace to all! I miss Christmas. <3

  • OMG! THEY'RE GROWN UP NOW! how old are they?

  • i play this on VIOLIN ;)

  • Sounds so beautiful. I sing saprano but i am a 13 year old girl. please take a look at my videos. merry christmas everyone.

  • This song is like a rich dessert. It may have a dreary title, but I find it uplifting.

  • This song is like a rich dessert. It may have a dreary title, but I find it uplifting.

  • sooooo prettyyy... i could totally listen to this all day... my school's chorus is doing this for our upcoming concert this saturday and we dont sound as GREAT as thiss..

  • The arrangement is impeccable.

  • nice singing, but nothing matches up with the video. takes away from the mood. not a fan of the video

  • brings back so many memories, wish i could go back and appreciate being young again.

  • these boys are professional singers in every way,how dare people slur at them in this manner ,just proves what a sick perverse world we live in.i think they are incredible young performers in which will keep music in the real sence not modern rubbish we have to painfully endure well done lads

  • I think these boys are beautiful in every way... and who are we to use the word gay to offend anyone? The fact is, there are people out there who are actually gay, and there is nothing that makes them different. It's simply a sin in the eyes of God and all sins are equal. Gay, or not gay, we are all in the same position.

  • I'm getting tingles like every 2 seconds from how good this sounds!!!! <333!!!

  • I cant beliveve people call them gay? Thats wrong... Their voices are just perfect..

  • Yay! for decent music praising The Lord Jesus Christ in celebration of His incarnation on Earth! Yes, it keeps us sane

  • So beautiful! Hoping we can live up to this when we sing it in December. SO PRETTY! (:

  • I have to sing this!!!!!

  • It must be part of God's Blessing to us, if from the bleakest of times, Christina Rossetti could pen these beautiful words. According to Wikipedia: Although the lyrics were written as a poem by English poet Christina Rossetti before 1872, it was published posthumously in Rossetti's Poetic Works in 1904 and became a Christmas carol after it appeared in The English Hymnal in 1906 with a setting by Holst... And the boys are absolutely charming and sing beautifully.

  • ah! i lovethe sound of boy sopranos! they have such a clear crystal sound!!

  • Some people have to ruin something pure and beautiful! What a shame. I just left another song where some degenerate tried to ruin another beautiful song. It was by Buddy Holly..

This song is "splendiferous" along with the wonderful young lads performing it!:)

  • @SherryEHuth What you say is true. I've come across other Christmas carol videos on You Tube that have obscenity filled comments both praising or condemning the video. With anonymity, no need to engage brain or be courteous. Civilization gives us incredible technology, and we become uncivilized thereby. I'll hold onto music like this. It keeps us sane.

  • omg, i can't believe some of the negative remarks...

just enjoy the beautiful music of these boys!!!

  • Yo canté con ellos en Albacete y son super simpáticos :)

  • they sing all kinds of less-known songs and make them well-known. they're good singers and there's nothing wrong with them or their voice just because they're young.

  • Wow, they are so good! Beautiful voices!!! And they are so cute too! Great looking smiles:)

  • Wow, even if i couldnt hear their angelic voices...which i truly love and appreciate..their beautiful faces lifts up my heart with joyous delight. Thank you for sharing this precious video. May all the angels involved be forever blessed and blessings to others....Loving hugs sent...gisl

  • Today in the attitudes people have something wrong, so biased ... I really feel sorry for people like that.

Sorry my bad english language... :)

  • @Josephpalmer2000 whats wrong with people is a tendency to use "gay" as a random insult with no real meaning behind it, and a homophobic attitude they are probably unaware of, which they have picked up from the homophobes around them.

  • You are clearly jealous as hell because these boys are special to someone else and you're some pathetic worm who cant stand the fact that people wouldnt piss on you if you were on fire. These kids clearly have a huge fan base and extended group of family and friends who value them. Calling them gay makes you feel better about your sorry self? Pathetic...just fucking Pathetic........

  • @expostfactum you were doing well standing up for these talented kids, but you blew it with: "Pathetic...just f-----g Pathetic........"

  • @chrishuffaolcom And you are?

  • @dolunaydainsanolan Gay? They're getting more girls than you'll ever have

  • @dolunaydainsanolan I feel sorry for you. What an indecent human being to hear such truly angelic voices and then turn around and call them gay. First of all, gay is not an insult. If I could sing like them I'd be happy too:) Religious? Let people have faith in what they believe. Your hating won't change what others stand for, it only makes you look pathetic. Thirdly, I honestly pity your sad attempt to make yourself feel better by insulting them. They're beautiful and gifted and your jealous.

  • Beautiful singing and images, but hearing this carol while watching the boys sing other music cognitively dissonant.

  • Did it at school. ^^ Not nearly as pronunced as this. XD

  • @CatMaster87932 I hear ya!! Theres no way in hell (pardon my language) that my choir could ever have sounded as good as that, or pronounced as well as them.

  • amazing

  • Oh this descant is magnificent...This is one of the songs I wish would not end for perhaps an hour or so. What a beautiful sound :]] Amazing.

(and GREAT composer! GO Gustav Holst!)

  • @annwnevelyn I agree, I played it at my church for the first time in my life! I did not want to stop, I just wanted it to go on forever!

  • This is the best song I have learned in years. I played it on flute for my church this year for the first time! I wanted it to go on forever

  • This is quite beautiful and I really appreciate their diction. Speaking of which, Julie Andrews does and exquisite version. Happy holidays!

  • the descant in the last verse is extraordinary!! Brilliant!!

  • ~this is the song we are doing for my chorus recital.~

  • we did are's last week

  • @soccerking9270 You mean "ours."

  • This is such a beautiful song, i learned it last year with my choir group from work, we sing once a year for christmas in the building lobby. I sing the bass. This song gives me a lot of inner peace and longing for being a good boy, because i am bad. very bad.

  • This is great...this is mii fave Xmas carol lol i like singing but i got a high voice + i am actually a girl soooooooooooo don't hav 2 worry about singin BASE parts, WhiteSilverAngel.

  • my sister and i love this song. were doing it for choir here in about 4 weeks but it will turn out great i belive.

  • Before I got this CD, I was hoping Andrew would reprise the Bob Chilcott setting of Mid-Winter (which he sang so beautifully at the Chorister of the Year competition). Alas! But at least they went with Holst over Darke.

  • It's funny how 10 year old boys can sing soprano 5 times better than 30 year old women who have degrees voice.

I just dread the day their voices change.

  • just for your information, the term is treble if you wanted to know.

  • these are better than the choirboys before them

  • Beautiful Music The Choirboys well done!! but i did prefer the version on the Angel Voices 3 CD. But this version is still good

  • i love this song it reminds me of christmas and singin carols in church!

  • i performed this song infront of 3000 people at the Royal Centre Nottingham .. it was soo scary lol .. but we sounded amazing if i do say so myself

  • As an adult now, you realise as a boy how easy singing was! (As long as you can sing, of course).

  • where is the other choirboys? are they too old to be "chiorboys or what? i don't understand, by the way this song and their voices together is pure magic, a perfect match :) greetings from Sweden

  • I agree with all that you said.

  • It is at the same time prescious and tragic that the window of time for a boy's most beautiful voice is very small. That is my guess for the turnover of singers. I think boy soprano is the utmost perfection of a human sound. No wonder they used to mutilate a person in an attempt to capture that special gift.

  • yes i know, i agree with you

  • I was a boy chorister for 6 years. Good times. Unfortunately Choir schools often finish when a boys voice is in its prime (12-13) like mine did. I was lucky enough to keep mine until I was 15, but now, 4 years on I'm a Bass. Lol.

  • Naw poor you :( there's something special with a young boy's voice. It feals like magic and you get so moved and yeah. But i like guys who sings bass (do u say it like that?) haha my english is not the best . (you know i'm from sweden)

  • I love being a bass lol I'm a choral scholar in a cathedral now, so I'm continuing my singing career. And it means I still sing the same repetoire, I still miss the days I could sing the top part, as I know them better than the bass parts, but singing with the boys as a bass is still awesome.

  • That sounds great !

  • You pronounce Bass as Base. (I know weird right?...)

  • Idiot

  • One of my favourite carols, and exquisitely sung. But yes, Gaseoushead, who came up with that video. Those poor boys!

  • Beautiful rendition of a great Christmas carol. Unfortunate video.

  • we r singing this song in chorus exept its called "In the bleak mid winter silent night"!!!!!!!

  • We are at my school too! That's so cool! It's like a lullaby

  • one of my favourite carols

  • I never cant decide if Harold Darke or Gustav Holst holds the best composition of this song. However, both versions are extremely beautiful! Imo the song should only be performed by a boys choir.

  • Having performed this carol annually as part of a boys & girls choir, I can tell you that both are very as much moving and devotional...it works both ways.

  • Listen to Bob Chilcott's version. It's the most beatiful Christmas carol I've ever sung.

  • AGREED!!!!!!!

  • Just beautiful. Many thanks for posting.

  • Yup, those little boy's are singing!

  • they arent singing.. r theyy??

  • These boys are amazing and I love their vioces. Is also my favourite carol

  • My favourite carol sung very well. Way better than my choir by miles.

  • Absolutely gorgeous! I have sang this song before with a more mature choir, but these voices are perfect for this song and paints a picture of exactly what is being song! Bravo!

  • I played this song in HS band as well...

  • nice singing im a choir boy to.
