Anonymous is in Vancouver. Income disparity wrong because the measures are different. I paid 52% tax here and 22% when I worked in Seattle. Our banks separate investments from customer assets. No betting with client money. The disastrous derivatives were USA based and screwed the entire world economy except Canada. So keep your money. Edmonton protestors are just posers.
Wow amazing with that video of that line of people being pepper sprayed, really made me wish someone would break from the crowd to tackle that pig of a cop.
During the Civil Rights Movement, they used dogs, police and water hoses from fire trucks...now they use pepper spray. OWS this is your Civil Rights movement. You are all leading the call to a great change. Don't give up....You're taking that pepper spray so that the next generation don't have too.
I am 100% in favour of OWS and their values. However, the Canadian copy-cat protest is disingenuous as we have better systems for political lobby and bank regulations. Out taxes are twice that of the USA. The question I have is why did OWS in New York City send a check for $7500 dollars to Edmonton Alberta Canada. Use the money in the USA for better purpose.
@CATSASS1117 Canadian "copy-cat" protests? You realize this whole thing has its roots in Vancouver right? Canada has actually seen income disparity grow even wider than the States in the last 10 years. Our banks might be a little more regulated, but that doesn't mean they still can't buy and trade these disastrous over-the-counter derivatives. We have basically a reactionary neo-con in power giving tax cuts and subsidies to corporations, the tars sands...there's plenty to protest in Canada too.
Well done thinkingliberal, I was thinking that you'd picked one hell of a weekend to take a vacation. When I heard about Katehi's walk of shame, i couldn't wait to hear KO's take on it. He's one of the good guys...and so are you!! Also, respect x1000 to the UC Davis students. Talk about seizing the moral high ground, the Occupy movement now has new wind in its sails and the authorities look like the fat bloated pigs they are. Q- WHO do you serve.? WHO do you protect?
@mattyk722 The weirdest thing is (about occupy to me) is that a lot of people in power was protesting in the late 60's/early 70's were protesting the same thing. Now the generation that's in power are using the power they have against the protesters. Idiots! BTW I was born in '67 and people my age should know better.

"I take full responsibility for the incident"
What does that mean exactly?
"A fluid and dynamic situation"
There was nothing "fluid and dynamic" about it. Those cops were taking a stroll while pepper spraying those students.
