I've seen a bunch of characters that rip off Joe. They're mainly just outfit ripoffs, though. :P

Actually, Joe Higashi's attire is of a traditional Muay Thai fighter. People who practice that martial art wear those kinds of clothes in real life....it would be like saying

just because every boxer in a fighting game wears boxing gloves and boxing shorts, it doesn't mean they're ripping off M. Bison from Street Fighter 2. Those boxing shorts and boxing gloves are a staple in the boxing sport. So other Muay Thai characters like

Adon or Bruce Irving aren't rip offs.

However, this doesn't mean, I disagree with Phillies....I think he's right since Fish's character design is nearly identical to Joe Higashi right down to the hair style and skin color.

Yeah, I totally agree. I also worded my response wrong. I never meant to say that every character rips off Joe Higashi. I just noticed that a lot of different characters have that specific look. :P
