haha yea thats a reason why i didnt do the long one. Back then I also wasn't good enough yet to endure that long. But I probably wouldn't even do it again now. I think songs that are too long and repetitive are not very appealing for piano since its only a single instrument. Even if its just repeating two verses.

I've always dreamed of getting back into piano. I'm in a very similar situation as you, and just have never had the time or equipment to get back into it.

How long did it take to get your skills back?

I was kinda surprised that it only took about a monthish to get back at the level I was when i quit. But even more interesting is that i surpassed my old level in the following mnonths very quickly&thats just basing on my own+others evaluation /videos and feedback from others.

But overall,I think it depends on how many years of practice you had in the past,as well as your determination to get back into it. As mine was pretty high in both and I learned when i was a kid and you know once you learn stuff as a kid you almost never forget.

Its hard to get the equipment if you don't have he cash :) A midrange Electronic keyboard would be the way to go. But I do believe if a person really wants to do something they can somehow squeeze time into even if its just 5 minutes :)

zzz i started again lol and i can play 8 songs (1-3 pages)now off memory XD and im like fark getting back piano is da shieeet... build your memory up, helps your attention span and just play slowly, i dropped like tv time or pc time and just play lol

nice! Yea its a good feeling to start and play again and hear how well you do. It does build memory when you play it over and over. Im glad that it has a positive effect on you too :D Then you can show me your piano video too then after your done?

Thanks! I've been playing since I was around 5,as most people forced by my parents. At that time I had no interest at that age. Then they let me quit at age 12. i took a class last year in school for keyboard, i got through the basics faster than the rest, tho since practice only happened in class, not out, it was mostly all beggining music, i got farther than expected, but piano is different still, and i really want to learn to get better, not like a professional pianist, but still like a hobby

Thats awsome. Cool to hear you are into piano. Yea I dont think id ever be good enough to go pro or be a concert pianist either. But ill continue to try and play the songs I love in my spare time as a hobby as well. I've been getting into composition lately and my next video will probably be my first transcribed piece.

i could never do that, and theres no room around for a piano, and i dont have alot of spare time anyway, but i really want to practice a piano, i dont think keyboard would be as worth it. it'll take me forever to play this
