  • I'm working so hard to buy a MusicMan like yours, great videos bro!

  • What gauge and brand pick do you use?

  • nice quick little jam to practise timing with a pick. Nice job

  • ive notived through three of your pick videos that you dont like the down down down technique lol

  • Thanks a lot.

  • I am having serious problems, so frustrating to the point where it makes me angry.

Dmanlamius, could you tell how to move through the strings with a pick? I tried slowing the pace for a couple of weeks and kept on getting comfortable but when a play a song (Hybrid Moments by the Misfits - that's one of the examples here), there's always a split second between the time where I navigate between the open D to the 4th fret on the G and etc. I could navigate upwards easily, just no downwards. Thanks.

  • MusicMan Stringray? Not 100%... :)

  • thats a sweet funky riff!!!! i love it!....i started playing fortune fadded the other day and thats really simple and a good one for practicing to =) great lesson mate

  • add slight distortion and a pick. great sound for punk or metal.

  • A great example: Joe Principe -- Rise Against.

  • @sc45470 YES. Rise Against is one of my favorite bands. I noticed Joe's technique when I saw them live this summer. Awesome example.

  • i my learning the song collapse from the newest album got it mostly down 0.0

  • Another great lesson, thanks Dman again.

  • yo yo yo. what do you use for a drum loop? just curious

  • I wonder how long a plastic pick would last if you are playing that fast. :-)

  • I've played faster than that with the same pick for a few months and it is still like new. Usually you need to worry about losing it more than it breaking.

  • hate how playing with a pick is often frowned upon.

i just loove that crunchy sound you get from playing with a pick

  • nice lesson though.

the feel of playing with is more... i don't know. it's just playing pick is more awesome. the sound is better too.

  • nice bass man what kind

  • That be a Musicman Stingray....:)

  • so awesome..... ur groove is impeccable as always i mean ur just improvising right? :s im just hoping improvising comes better with practice cause my improvising is kinda weak :P been playing 6 months or so and my improvising seems all so basic even tho what ur doing isnt rocket science.... it just sounds good... oh btw GREAT PICK EXERCISE :P thanks alot

  • Yea man, that's it! It REALLY is just a case of practicing as much as you can, whenever you can...

  • Alright. thanks alot :D for the lesson and the inspiration

  • its hella cold out in california we got snow

  • great as allways man 5 stars
