joder q buena song !!!! la escuche alla por los 90s en un casette de mi hermana mayor y siempre me quedo la melodia en la mente hasta q por fin la encontre buen grupo Men at work y sobre todo esta version en vivo de
I think, after seeing this, Colin and Sting should do something together. Collin's stuff now days is far more prolific than this. That's just my 2 cents. He and Sting would be a great fit in this time.
Do singers do that anymore? I mean go so far into the audience that they can be touched, kissed, hugged while singing. I've only seen it on this video.
I just saw Colin Hay in Philadelphia in a small venue. Awesome show! His voice is exactly the same. New material is different than MAW but great in its own right. Talked with him after the show for a long time, just hangin' out. He just lost his pop back in Nov. '09. He dropped out for awhile to care for him personally. Very cool and talented guy.
An article in Guitar World magazine in late 1986 said that after the third album fizzled, the two members who quit left because of Colin's allegedly dictatorial attitude.
The blonde girl in the black dress with black shades from about 2:28-about 2:55 with an honorable mention of sight of her right elbow at 2:57-3:00 is someone with whom I'd love to share a longest night.
They played this concert a LOT on HBO.. I never did figure out why. I loved Men At Work, but I didn't get why they kept running that concert on HBO so often. I was happy with it though!
Notice that Colin says "Hello San Francisco!" at the beginning. Later on in the concert he says it a few more times and the audience keeps screaming back at him. Colin says "what's that? Just ONE of you tell me".. he finally says "Oh! This is BERKELEY!"
What a great song, I remember having it on VHS somewhere, off of an HBO special back in 83...what memories...this performance is the only place you see them performing this song. It's not on any of their albums!
@colinhaycombr I never thought of that. But also, it's not like any other song. It really doesn't fit with the other songs. But then songs like I'd Like To and High Wire are a bit odd also.
Olá zoomirko? Eu sou "crisalvis".
@Penguiannia They didn't break up out of animosity. Their first 2 albums were huge, the 3rd album fizzled, they had a world tour that they had to cancel because of poor ticket sales. Colin did some stuff with the blonde Greg Ham, then went solo. Colin was in 2 episodes of the comedy SCRUBS not that long ago, and is currently still doing solo tours and working with Ringo Starr and his All Star Band.
I always liked this one too. Good band - some good music.

Looking forward to see him performing live in New Jersey (04/27).... Hope he sings this song then =)

@dhge123 Highly unlikely that he will perform this song. This song is performed extremely rarely. Dunno why.. it's one of my favorites.

@jdohe maybe because it's a Greg Ham one
