QUESTION! is there any video recording of a real supernova and is there any EMP felt on earth recently because of a supernova?

is there anyone here that really knows about supernovas? i just whitnessed a instant flash in the night sky this morning on july 10 2010 at 3:30 am......this might sound dumb but its the only way i could explain it, it was as if a star got bright then disappeared (the event lasted less than 1 second)

It's a Type Ib supernova. The star's core implodes, then explodes, destroying the star.
