  • Girl, I feel you on the bangs issue. My bangs grow slower than the rest of my hair, and I am like "Man! What's up!" Great video by the way! However, when I clipped my ends it started to grow faster. I am subscribing!

  • Great vid I have the same problem! The back grows faster/longer AND the curl pattern is looser... Glad to know I'm not alone!! :)

  • Thanks for the video! Maybe you should try using Kimmaytube's leave-in recipe: 2TB of your favorite leave-in conditioner (I use Cantu Shea Butter leave-in ($5-Walgreens/Walmart or any beauty supply) because it gives me more slippage than any others I've tried), 2TB Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice($5 for 32 oz-keep refrigerated), 2tsp Jojoba oil($7 for 4 oz), 2tsp Castor oil($3 for 8 oz). That's it! U'll get great results! Can get these 3 items at Vitacost dotcom. Great products for less!

  • Cute! Same for me-longer back, always :)

  • my hair also grows very mullet-like, lol! even when i was relaxed it grew that way. i sometimes cut the back to even it out. i think it's all genetics, not really something we're doing wrong. i honestly don't think there is a "magic potion" or technique that makes hair grow faster, but there are products & techniques that slow down or inhibit hair growth. so when we use products/vitamins/techniques that retain length and cause it to grow at its normal rate, we only think it's growing faster.

  • Oh - I almost forgot - no need to add moisture when u rebraid/retwist, unless u just want or need it. But rebraiding/retwisting without adding moisture aids in the stretching. So what I do is make sure my hair is very well moisturized on the first braiding/twisting. Hope that makes sense...

  • of your braids/twists loose and rebraiding/retwisting them the day b4 u desire to wear your hair loose really stretches your hair significantly more than if u didn't rebraid/retwist. If u try it, let me know how/whether it works for u, and thanx so much for sharing your hair journey.

  • @maximuslyricus Nice! Great tips! Thanks!!

  • I think that keeping your hair braided is an awesome strategy for keeping it protected and maximizing it's potential for length retention and healthiness. And yes, braiding or twisting your hair in the direction u wud like it to fall when u take it out is an absolute must. I wear braids allllll the time as well, so on those few occasions I want to wear it loose, I take the front braids loose on the nite b4 and rebraid them in the direction I plan to wear my hair loose. Another tip - taking all

  • Thanks so much for sharing! Your laid back spirit is AWESOME!

  • That updo was cute :)

  • Your hair grows fast! My hair is only a little bit longer than your in the back and I had it cut in July 2010. My hair grows in mullet formation too:( It was like that even when I had a relaxer. The crown and top back section of hair grows so slow and seems to be more more fragile than the rest of my hair. I have tried ten million things to work with that situation with limited success. Anyway, keep making these videos! I really like'em:)

  • My best friend! *slides down the wall*

  • @whoissugar Lol, u silly **pulls u up from the wall** makidada

  • Yay! You've got a lot of growth. I'm two and a half yrs grown and my hair STILL grows out in a mullet. And just like you when I had a twa I would pin up the back and sides. Just keep doin whatcha doin and you'll keep making strides. You're pretty anyway so whatever you do with it your fabulousness will translate.

  • You look AESOME! I love the up do! I'm 9 months tooo! I'm going to try your style. God Bless you, always!

  • Girl you had me laughing talking about your poor lil bangs! My hair grows faster on the top then sides then the back.

  • My hair grows mullet-ish too. On top of that one side of the back hangs looser than the other, so I have an asymmetrical mullet situation. I too wear my hair up most of the time though.

  • @Star192977 Then we are not alone! LOL, thanks for watching!

  • I love the way you styled your hair. Very cute!

  • @SuthernGyrl99 Thanks!

  • CHILD!! My hair grows like that. My back is 8 and a half inches, the sides are 6 inches, and my poor bangs just reached 4 and a half inches. At first I was a little sad about it, but then I realized that I have different textures all over my head. You have to figure out a routine that helps all the hair textures you have.

  • @msaap I'm betting thats it! When I was measuring I was like "WHOA!" lol, but it's a process of learning and growing. Thanks for watching!

  • I have the exact same problem.. The back of my head not the back hairline but the back...like behind my ears grows extremely quicker than any other area of my head. The sides..complete disappointment. The front is slow and straight.. no curl at all. Whew patience...

  • woman---you inspire every time i see your videos--makes me wanna create more earrings---i LOVE LOVE LOVE yours!!!!!!!!!!

  • @EssenseVibez Aww thanks!
