Wow i am impressed. Everyone on sean's interviews and other videos related to sean were saying how much sean tries to be like his dad and just isnt as good. But im actually really delighted with his music, it does have a bit of his father's touch, a little odd, eerie almost, but catchy and very pleasant. He is his own artist.

Funny; I'm a 44 year old guy, grew up with the Beatles, John Lennon was always a hero - I cried at 12 when he died.. I'm hardcore Beatles. But to be honest, since my teens I've been into wackier and wackier stuff, indie. I actually prefer Sean -- I'm sort of blown away by how much I dig him actually; there's bits of Blonde Redhead in this to me.

Strange video and this is the first time I've heard Sean Lennon sing. I finally got to hear his voice despite all the talk I've heard of - about the similarities between him and his dad. If I had heard this song on the radio unannounced, I wouldn't have made the connection between Sean & John initially. But half way thru' as I listen more closely, I do pick up a nuance of John, but Julian sounded more like his dad. Comparisons aside, this is an interesting song - lyrically & melodically.

Sean had an AMAZING relationship with his dad. His father was his sole caretaker from birth to the day John was killed. Yoko was running the business and John was with Sean. They played, read, drew, baked, traveled, swam, and sang together. John was an amazing dad to Sean and there was never any animosity towards his dad, who was murdered by a psychopath. Sean speaks very lovingly of his dad. Julian had issues w/John but he's resolved them and Sean and him are very, very close.
