If you look closely, the Aussie made no contact with the ball, but his arm made a lot of contact with Grosso's leg as Grosso was trying to get around him. Italy played the home nation for 120 minutes, while France had an easier opponent for only 90 minutes. Nope. We speak Dutch here in Holland, and in Dutch it's 'voetbal'. It's the translation of English though, so if you'd translate it to English it's football, not soccer. You-know-who already thought of a shitty sport and they called it football too, so they had to come up with some shitty name for a good sport.

Cassillas is the best right now, wether you like it or not. My favorite is Buffon, yet I know he is not as good as he used to be. I also think Coupet is a very strong goalkeeper, and if Domenech had put him into the match during the shoot-outs in the world cup final in 2006, France might have won.

Australia game: How can you claim that the ref was playing for Italy when Materazzi got a completely unjustified red card? The PK was also justified. If you look closely, the Aussie made no contact with the ball, but his arm made a lot of contact with Grosso's leg as Grosso was trying to get around him. Even if Italy hadn't gotten the PK, that doesn't mean that Australia would have won. They did fail to score after all, even though they were a man up.

Yea, well a team certainly isn't better than another one after LOSING in a PSO either. Did you read my previous post? Italy played the home nation for 120 minutes, while France had an easier opponent for only 90 minutes. If you seriously believe that fatigue from prior games doesn't affect a team, you've obviously never played a sport. Italy started the qualifiers poorly and France won this game fair and square, but stop complaining about losing in the final because you didn't earn a win.

Honestly, you don't know what you're talking aout. Even if the did play an extra 20 minutes, I wouldn't say that Portugal was an easy opponent, would you?
Besides, Italy got lucky that day, France had so many opportunities, but luck wasn't on their side. And finally Zidane beat the crap out of Materazzi, leaving his team with 10 minutes. Had he not, we might have had different results.
As for this match, France did win fair and square.
I hope France wins, but I wish Italy good luck.

Most people don't pay attention to the fact that Italy played a much more difficult game in the semis than France did. Germany was much better than Portugal and Italy played 120 minutes while France only played for 90. Italy were more fatigued going into the final and still won. Malouda dived while Italy's goal was legit. Italy even had a second called off for offsides when it shouldn't have been. Italy beat Scotland twice and Fracne couldn't even once. Italy started poorly but won group B
