  • perfect or not id still say the 1985 bears were the best team ever.

  • @leo96r1 - June is my sister !!! She's in the NFL Hall of Fame !

  • No matter what people say, just remember this fish fryers. They may be winless but Miami did it, New England did NOT.

  • who the hell is June?

  • @leo96r1: I am June! I was at Superbowl 7 and was filmed in the crowd shots cheering "We're number 1" and that shot ended up in the highlights of the game shown on TV for many years and in the NFL hall of fame. We got hold of the video tape and my brother made this clip from that. The entire highlights clip is on hulu and I am in it cheering near the end of the game. So that's who the hell I am!

  • @FLChick49 wow then JUne i have to say your hot

  • @leo96r1 Thank youn but that was in 1973 - 38 years ago! :-)

  • @FLChick49 Nah, I'm pretty sure you still look good, no matter how old you might be. I'm fifteen i really don't judge 50 year old women. = )

  • . Pittsburgh Steelers, 1974-79

Four Super Bowl titles in six years was their net worth. But here's another way to look at it -- had it not been for the Steelers, the Cowboys or the Raiders of that era might have ended up among the top-five NFL dynasties. Ten Steelers, including coach Chuck Noll, eventually ended up in the Hall of Fame. "The Steelers had the best grouping of players in the history of the game," ex-49ers coach Bill Walsh said recently. "No question about it."

  • Yes they were perfect and there can be no doubt about it...they did what they had to do to achieve this & didnt crack under the pressure of the streak . Yeah ok there were a few close moments but they rebounded from them and pushed on. Despite the 'poor' record of the teams they beat throughout the year those were still professional teams playing in a professional league & some of those teams gave them a run for their money as well.

  • Greatest Pro Sports team of all time and they went perfect with their Hall of Fame QB on the sidelines for most of the year!

  • 85 Bears, the only team to really get close to this sort of record. Fair play to Miami, this was a VERY good team

  • if your not a dolphins fan dont watch but your missing out one the best football vid ever and the best team ever GO DOLPHINS

  • HAHAHAHA This video is a crack up it's being played like they won the Super Bowl last year but it's been almost 40 years. Seriously you need to get in this century

  • Ay back when we were good. Now we cant even beat the damned Bills...

  • The greatest football team that history ever known. Miami Dolphins 72.

    .

  • Where's Zonk's 49 yd run??? Epic failure!

  • @badtolzstandby - you're correct that it was one of the great moments of that game. Unfortunately, the only footage I had was what you see in this vid. My sister had a VHS tape - but, it was severly damaged and I could only extract pieces of the game.

  • DOLPHINS ARE NUMBER 1

  • @kbscope yes!

  • Simply Put the 72 Dolphins were the Greatest EVER.'''

  • Twilley Came From My High School(:

    Go Galena Parkk!

  • @dallas5sb 1973 Dolphins best ever; they may have lost two games to finish 12-2, but blew out their three playoff opponents by an average of 17 points and could easily have run up the score in Sup VII on the Vikes but Shula barely passed in the second half.

  • 10 stars

  • dallas5sb you can always tell a great team over a period of years and those 3 years of 71 72 73 there was no better team in the nfl

  • i dont understand you dallas i watched superbowl 6 and miami dropped a touchdown and fumbled a foot ball on the 5yard line . they dont do that its a different game. plus it was their 6th year of existance not bad.

  • you can lol all you want dalls5sb but that sounds like sour grapes to me miami simply won the games they had to and now they are mentioned every year. is your dallas super bowl teams mention year after year. i think not those were great teams and i feel sorry for your jealous statements.

  • Sorry you gay patriots,we are the real perfect season team,no cheating when on in 1972.that was the year i was born.SO WHAT CHA LOOKIN AT NIGGA,STEP THE FUCK BACK.

  • Shula almost put a spell on all of us with 2:07 left in the game when he got cocky. He decided to send Yepremian in to kick a 41-yd FG to try to go 17-0 by winning the last game 17-0. Yepremian had been kicking low line drives on his PAT's and kickoffs. Shula should have punted it away and forced Washington to go on a long drive just for one score when they needed two. Shula finally apologized to Gary a few years ago because that was the call that prevented a SB shutout.

  • The 71 Cowboys farted on you 24-3 in SB VI the year before? What happened to the greatest team ever then? Greatest Ever? High School schedule? Bullshit. lol

  • The 72 Dolphins beat two teams with winnng records that season? lol KC 8-6 and the Giants 8-6? Both failed to make the playoffs? lol Yes thats right the mighty Dolphins beat no playoff teams in their 14 game schedule? No playoff team. The combined record of the 10 teams they played was 68-122 .357. lol The Dolphins played 4 teams in their division twice. The Dolphins being called the best ever with their garbage schedule is a farce.

  • @dallas5sb 17-0.. Enough said. How many playoff games have the Cowboys won in the past 10 years?

  • @dsteding No one is saying my Cowboys of the last 10 years are great. In fact I have read it a million times about no playoff wins in 13 years from the media scumb_gs.

  • @dsteding How many playoff games have the fish won in that ten year span I recall a 1-15 season for the Fish. How many Super Bowls since 73 have the fish won I believe it's Dallas 4 fish 0 . Not to mention Dallas destroyed the fish the year before this 72 joke of a team 24-3 makeing the fish the only team in Super Bowl history to NOT score a touchdown. You just got OWNED

  • @toddky32 your right. we had a 1-15 season. But we also had an 11-5 season the year right after that. You really shouldnt be talking cause arent the Cowgirls like 0-15 right now or something like that? the Cowgirls are overrated and the fact that they are the so-called Team Of America is an outrage. Miami is like the football capital of the world. Fuck the Cowgirls, GO DOLPHINS!

  • @DoesNotExist305 Are you a 15 year old girl because you say like a whole lot. I agree the Dallas Cowboys aren't Americas Team I am not a fan but the fact is their history is far superior than the fish. Miama the football capital of the world huh Yeah I think all football fans ,when they think football they think Miami. The fish LIKE blow dick and 1973 is a LONG time ago . HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOSERS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @toddky32 where the fuck is Dallas's perfect season at then pussy boy? Miami had a team go undefeated and we have hosted the Super Bowl more than any other city. In the 80s and 90s the University of Miami was the most successful college football program in the country. The most talented players come out of Florida and most of those are born in Miami. We live and breath football over here motherfucker. Fuck the Cowgirls. Dallas aint shit compared to Miami fuck boy.

  • @DoesNotExist305 old comment but Fuck It : THE U!

  • @martinthefish9 The U!!!! GO CANES!!!!!

  • @dallas5sb wtf..the dolphins were made up of a buncha no names, the no name team all rookies and washouts that beat 17 teams at the same level playing skill that they were so what are you tryin to say?? theyre the only team to go undefeated your fuckin dumb if you think you can rag on em

  • @mrderek08 they were a great team but their opponents weren't very tough is all I am saying. Because of that they shouldn't be called the greatest ever. Thats up in the air. 17-0 is outstanding but if it had come vs a few tough teams in the regular season it'd be more impressive. They had alot of very good players, hardly no names in history. But they beat no playoff teams in the regular season?

  • @dallas5sb Best EVER

  • @dallas5sb You have a good argument, but remember they won most of those games with a 38-year-old career backup quarterback and had to win the AFC Championship Game on the road against the Steelers. Just remember it hasn't happened since.

  • @dallas5sb the dolphins were awesome that year so shut up

  • @dallas5sb ya explain that thanksgiving game when the cowboys messed up and dolphins won so suck it

  • @dallas5sb Absolutely correct the 72 Dolphins would have gotten beat down by the 0 - 16 Lions team of a few years ago. NO ONE (except Dolphin fans) considers this one of the greatest teams of all time .

  • @dallas5sb

Ohhh wow! The Dolphins "played 4 teams in their division twice"? No kidding! So did every other team that was in a 5 team division and the ones that were in a 4 team division played twice with the other 3. Clearly you are an inbred illiterate jackass.

  • @dallas5sb I would have to agree with you dallas5sb. I just got done looking at the Packers schedule that they have played this year up to date and so far they have played 5 teams with winning records this year and they have dominated in every game. I think if the Packers go undefeated this year even though it will be a 19-0 season, that this will be a much better accomplishment than the 72 Dolphins. As a matter of opinion, I think that the 1973 Dolphins was a way better team than the 72 team.

  • the only coach to that had the best chance of coaching a perfect season was the great bill walsh

  • I reckon it's no surprise to see insecure Pats fans showing up in this thread.

  • its been a while since the dolphins have won anything, they suck now but i have a feeling that this year they gonna do good, GO PANTHERS!!!!

  • 18-1 = Super Bowl Losers.

  • @mrleroy1966 18-1 what you talking about they had a perfect season they were the best that year just like any other team that was the best there year

  • @sam92695 He's talkin' About the new England patriots....

  • @Xenocrosser i no i realize later but thx

  • @mrleroy1966 giants pats?

  • well duh, i mean think about what you said, the 1972 dolphins vs 2007 pats, i mean theirs 35 years between them, its a no brainer

  • Thts nice Dickface nobody cares!!!..

  • @NiagaraFalls4424 Your Opinion means nothing. Dolphins are the only Undefeated team to win a Superbowl. Perhaps you need to wake up and smell reality boy LOL Dolphins best team ever!!

All the comments show that you really like the Dolphins , but none of their fans give a shit about you. Give it a rest already. Your team is full of fucking cheats.

  • Even the 2007 Patriots look like Beasts compared to the 1972 Dolphins.

  • nigarafalls4424 what a dickhead you are the 2007 Pats lost you fucking faggot. Get your facts right your team in 2007 lost to a 10-6 Giants team. Go suck Bradys dick and shut the fuck up. Loser Pats and the fans are same. Hey piece of shit. I see you have to remove your comments cause of fool false facts. The douchebag is you and your Pats. • 17-0 the dolphins went remember

  • Dolphins no. 1!!!!!!!

  • I am the June cheering in this video and we were number 1!!! It was an amazing year for the Dolphins. Say what you will about who was better but they made it through that season undefeated and no one else has done that to this day. They did it with the "second string" quarterback too - Bob Griese out for most of the season with an injury. That superbowl was awesome and I had a blast!!!!

  • WOW! What a great video...I'm proud to be a DOLPHINS fan!!! GO PHINS!!

  • Miami was so good nobody could compete with them...simply the BEST EVER!

  • The big question still stands...have any of those teams ever achieved perf season???....i guess not. The early 70s was def. a Dolphins dynasty, repeating the following superbowl, only losing the superbowl prior to this one to keep them from a 3peat. The '72 Dolphins set the benchmark, it was after this season tht other teams pushed to be jus as good but i guess none of them couldn't be perfect....

  • Comment removed

  • june is perfect

  • The Pats got beat by the Giants who were 10-6 in the regular season. A wild card team!!!! How in the world can any Pats fan come on here and defend a team who lost the Super Bowl. Come on Pats fans give it a rest already. You facts only prove what fans already know that the Pats suck!!!

  • Comment removed

  • A lot of the comments on this video like to point out that the Dolphins beat only 2 teams with a winning record in the regular season. The fact that is forgotten is Miami beat who was put in front of them. The played on the road in AFC Championship even though they had a better record no home field advantage. Also they won most of the season with an aging back up QB. You can say this and that. 18-0 gets you what second best when it counts. 18-1 is not a record anyone wants. Its says LOSER!!!

  • If you really wanna split hairs.. the season was shorter back then.. and the 07 patriots did beat 17 games in one season.. they had 18

  • FACT

    in the regular season

the 72 dolphins beat just TWO teams with winning records (both were 8-6)

the 07 patriots beat SEVEN teams with winning records (including previously undefeated cowboys and colts ON THE ROAD)

  • Listen up Patsy...

Nothing matters but the stat. Where's yours?

That's what I thought. Shut up.

  • you keep on being proud over what happened almost 40 years ago. i'm proud of my club being the team of the decade. to each his own.

  • Who said I was a Dolphins fan. What I see is you being proud over something that happened... NEVER!

Until you have the actual goose egg in the L column shut your wanna be fantasy football pretend revisionist ass up.

  • What I see is you not understanding what I wrote. Im proud of the pats winning 3 championships this decade and being the most successful franchise. no shit they didnt go undefeated I watched the super bowl, never said I was proud of that in the first place. So chill out, hot-shot.

  • Yes thats true BUT they werent man enough to finish the season undefeated so just SHUT UP and dot come with stupid facts

  • So your point is? a WIN is a WIN. The Patriots went 18-1 losing the Superbowl. Last i checked, winning is all that mattered. and the Patriots FAILED to go perfect, sorry. 1972 Miami Dolphins THE ONLY UNDEAFTED TEAM IN NFL HISTORY. End of story

  • true- a win is a win. but u have to admit its a pretty interesting stat tho

  • Fact the Pats went into the Super Bowl 18-0 and got their ass kicked to end their season 18-1 you don't credit for losing. End of story.

  • @mrleroy1966

Fact mrleroy1966 is a 72 phins kool aid drinking douche whose team couldn't handle the 1962 packers in 1 quarter nor the 2008 patriots. the patriots had an offense that could destroy the dolphins

  • Eight of the 'Phins 14 reg season games were against AFC East rivals, 2 each against the Colts, Jets, Bills, Pats. There's 2 losses each for those teams; that certainly didn't help their records. But the charge of a weak schedule still has some validity.

  • even thou i dont like the dophins they were good that year goin undeafited that year and win the superboul that is a good team newengland coult of been the same but they lost the superboul newengland is my favorit team

  • I Remember This Game...Kilmer Was Way Past His Prime And Throwin Lame Ducks Out There...Jurgie Was Hurt And The Skins Didnt Stand A Chance..

  • Kilmer past his prime? He was only 33. I guess that means 38-year old Earl Morrall, who won 11 games for the '72 'Phins, was dead.

  • No! I see your point...But come on...My point is Kilmer was way past his own individual prime!! I vividly remember those ducks he was floating out there!!

  • THE '73 DOLPHINS WERE BETTER THAN THE '72 TEAM, the dolphis players have said that. 32-2 in two years. that record speaks for itself.

  • 1972 Dolphins might have the best season a team could have but the best team ever is the 1985 Bears

They had a tougher schedule and their only loss was to a good dan marino dolphins team. Bears killed every team in the playoffs en route to the lombardi trophy

  • Kilmer couldn't throw and couldn't scramble. No other quarterback at that time was as fat as he was. He threw two interceptions. One was in the End Zone and then he hits the cross bar on a certain touchdown pass. Allen should have put anyone but him in. Also a factor, Pat Fisher was too short and too old for his position. The Dolphins he had to defend against were almost a foot taller and a lot younger than him. The Dolphins saw this weakness and made the Redskins pay for it.

  • Kilmer couldn't throw? He led the league in touchdowns and quarterback rating in '72. He hit the crossbar first (bad luck), then threw the end zone interception to Jake Scott. Fischer had 4 interceptions in '72. He was 5-9; Howard Twilley was 5-10, 3 years younger, slow as molasses, and fooled Fischer to score a touchdown. Paul Warfield was 3 inches taller and 2 years younger than Fischer. Marlin Briscoe was 5-10. The "Skins matched up well physically with the 'Phins.

  • the 72 dolphins were the best team i the NFL and they proved it im a Giants fan but the 72 dolphins kicked some major ass that year

  • Part of the reason the 'Phins' opponents had poor records was that the 'Phins beat all of them. They played the Jets, Bills, Colts, and Pats twice each; there's 8 wins for the 'Phins, 8 losses for their opponents. However, the Bills, Pats, Oilers, Chargers, and Cards were pretty bad.

  • It was a bad idea for the kicker to throw the ball. He should have took a tackle or run out of bouce.

  • You have a keen grasp of the obvious.

  • Why, thank you.

  • its a shame Geroge Allen didn't start Sonny Jurgensen. Skins would have won that game if George Allen wasn't so stuck on his ways, I watched a replay of that Super Bowl a couple of mounths ago, Billy Kilmer was missing alot of throws that Jurgensen would have made(the ball hitting the crossbar comes to mind)

  • @skins2617

are you kidding me?!?!?! Nobody was beating the GOAT on that day! NOBODY!!!!!

  • LOL the Dolphins didn't even play that great of a game on offense .aKilmer made some of the worst throws Iv ever seen. He was missing wide open recivers that Jurgensen would have hit and btw 85 Bears>>> 72 dolphins. the dolphins had the easiest shedule in the NFL that year.

  • was jugrensen healthy enough ?was he activated?he severed his achillies at the end of october so i don't see how he could have played.

  • I think that was 74 he did that because its what casued him to retire If Im not mistaken

  • Its too bad there is no Nick Buoniconti highlights like there is with Dick Butkus particurlarly with his days with the Patriots.

  • if the redskins had a qb in this game.....i mean really

  • Steve Vai is overrated, so is Satriani. Jimi hendrix also mostly played chords and wasn't particularly good. Neil Peart* (At least spell his name right) is a good drummer yes, but Travis Barker is also a very skilled drummer. Stop talking out of your ass. Oh and for the record, Zappa taught Vai everything he knows.

  • MNF against the jets wasn't a boring game.

  • Sanjocal, you know nothing about football.

    nothing.

  • well then there is a lot of stupid people out there, because preseason games dont mean anything. Records and stats offically are not held on by the league...why not, because the games dont count. Lots of teams have great a preseason then fall on their face when the cames count. If the preseason is so important why does the regular season begin with all records at 0-0. your statement is the stupidest ever on youtube.

Only idiotic ass####'s (like yourself) would thing that.

  • Mabye they weren't trying to get injured?

  • Wish I could have watched it live.

I'll share this with my old man.

    ...bring us 1 MORE Parcells!!!

    -Brian R.

  • I watched it live

  • lol how old are you?

  • How old am I? 45

  • i only asked cuz this was old

    and just was woundering

  • at 1:01

  • after over 30 years i just noticed and would like to ask no. 60 the offensive guard for the skins, why he did not block the man head up over him blitzing the QB or any body that down...and how did he make that tackle?

  • It's the "53 defense" in action. Bob Matheson (no. 53) was on the LOS to the right; guard John Wilbur (no. 60) was preoccupied with him and missed the blitzing linebacker Doug Swift. That's the confusion that the 53 defense caused. See the Wikipedia article on SBVII. Buoniconti must have been pretty slow to have been caught by a lineman.

  • FINS

  • ahh imagine having a team like this during marino's years

  • dude, marino had good teams,. look at the records 10 plus wins every year ... we just couldnt win playoffs games and when we did we would lose afc title games. like when goddamned stoyachovich missed a fg vs sd, but if u give marino a TRUE rb we win those games,

  • mike bass, i bet he was a one shot wonder.

  • WOW

  • Some guys say that the dolphins had an easy season but why didn't other teams went 19-0? Best team ever btw which song is this?

  • Agree - Patriots had an "easy" season when they were making a run 2 years ago but couldn't "close the deal".. The song is "I Put a Spell on You" by Creedance Clearwater Revival

  • thats awesome

  • Jake Scott's interception shown at 2:28 occurred before Garo's Gaffe, not after (despite what NFL Films would have you believe).

  • Thanks for clearing that up --- I thought there was a sequence error in the original film .... !

  • Best Team Ever.

  • Sony Vegas?

  • Yes... do you use it?

  • Well, that's from my cousin's PC, but in my new laptop, I use Windows Movie Maker. From now on, I'm now using Windows Movie Maker (except my intro videos), Sony Vegas' render progress may take an hour for it.

  • sweet

  • Thanks, David.. Unfortunately, there is a sumamry version of the game (on VHS) that was digitized and lost A/V synch... I took the digital (mpeg-4) video and cut it up like you saw it -- (btw: June is my sister and was at the game and appears in the NFL hall of fame with her cheering!)

  • there aren't any copies of the full game?

  • I'm pretty sure the entire game is available. Live as it was called, on network broadcast. Just like a live game.

  • I got a VHS copy of the full game, as broadcast, on ebay a couple of years ago. The picture and sound quality make it look like you're watching it on a 1970's TV w/rabbit ears, but it's a nice piece of history to have. Now, if I could just get coach Shula's autograph on the cassette. . . . .

  • This is a great video but I wish the entire game becomes available someday.
