I don't like the original payout format for the bonus game. For the last one they had, I think they had it right. It's just a shame that this version didn't last longer then it did. I do remember, however, growing up watching the Geoff Edwards version. I didn't have cable at the time, but I guess I picked up the show considering it was taped in Montreal.
Well, for the debut week only, the player started the end game with $1 and each correct answer added a half of a zero with 8 correct answers is what it took to win $10,000. The end game actually changed 3 times. Beginning with the February 18, 1980 episode(which nobody has AFAIK), it was changed to "parting gifts" and each correct answer was worth $100 with 10 correct answers was what it took to win the $10K, it was changed to 9 by the March 3, 1980 episode.
P.S. Regarding my question, please include the 2 versions of the Instant Reaction round on GSN's version.

Nice to see the singular/plural rule didn't start w/ Lane's version.
Also, which has more format changes? CR's Instant Reaction round, or Classic Concentration as a whole?
Partial joke w/ the question.

Also, after that first week, they changed the time limit from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.

After watching this format for myself, I'm glad they changed the format after one week.
Though it would have been better if they tested it more before coming to air.

This was the original bounus game; it was reformatted twice during this show's run.
