i think there is. when i was in elementary school, and we were learning how to write in cursive, there was a chart showing real pictures of animals 4 every letter & x said x-ray fish. it really was a real picture, not a drawing. wikipedia has a small article about it, but it also says it might be the same as a glassfish, or it might b just a nickname 4 skeletal remains of fishes caught in fisherman's nets.
Yeah, I've seen see-through fish that are sometimes referred to as X-ray fish (is that what a glassfish is?) We had something like that when I was in elementary school, but it had a photo of the xerus which, as I recall, was a ferret-like creature.
If you ask me, this clip makes the letters themselves seem scarier than they are; I bet a lot of kids ended up having nightmares and refusing to take swimming lessons.

It seems that a lot of children were scared by these routines. It is probably because of the music. It does sound a little spooky to me.

Not many people know but there are animals that start with x. Ionly know a few. Xenops, xerus, xenopusfrog. Xantus's hummingbird.
