Well, Jonathan Bornstein is now playing for Tigres de la UANL, so it's a start. But then again, he's half-Mexican, so I'm not sure if he counts as a "gringo". Herculez Gomez is Mexican-American and plays for Pachuca, while Jose Francisco Torres, Gomez's teammate at Pachuca, is half-Mexican, half-American. So it is getting to a point where there will be "gringos" playing in Mexico, even if they aren't full-gringo.

This was the closest any US team has ever gotten to beating any Mexican team in Mexico. Never mind the US national team winning at Azteca; no US Club team (MLS) has ever won in Mexican soil.

I regret not watching the second half of this game. I love Mexican teams and MLS. I hope MLS teams will get to the point of being able to compete seriously in the CCL. Mexican teams are already good enough to compete against CONMEBOL teams.

This was the most thrilling CCL match I've ever seen, even for a neutral fan like myself. What an emotional roller coaster for the Real Salt Lake and Cruz Azul fans to say the least. Azul showed how solid they perform in clutch situations, and RSL never gave up. Can't wait to see the rematch between Cruz Azul and Real Salt Lake in October....should be interesting. It'll probably be the game to decide the Group A winners.

Horrible week for MLS. Bad calls in every game an MLS team played in. Disallowed goals that would have made the difference. Terrible week. RSL played their asses off and are a good attacking MLS team. I pray they are not out and can still turn things around to make the final.

What a game...you won't see many like this one. Cruz Azul never quit and showed the heart of a champion.  Real Salt Lake played very well. Always liked Alvaro Saborio. Javier Orozco is phenomenal this season.
