I saw him in Wilco last October at Roadwater in Somerset and he was absolutely amazing. Next weekend is the blockheads in Devon at Great Torroington and I cant wait! Excellent musician.

I saw normal live today in birmingham when he supported the strangler, watching him play was just unbelieveable, the way he moves and how he lets the music just go through him is just so unique! He put on an amazign show, and i consider him the greatest bass playing in the world for his age! :D

Great vid thanks,Im a budding or should i say trying bass player and cant believe Norman walked right past me in parsons green a few years back funny thing is I ended up working for his neighbor upstairs.I mentioned I seen this strange looking guy wondering around and couldn't place the face,he laughed and said that'll be Norman Watt Roy I couldn't believe it I never got to meet him for the best I imagine as I would of only hasseld him for some bass lesson in the end.

Norman is the Man!!! Best bass player the UK has ever produced and the Blockheads are one of the best funk outfits around. If you haven't seen them, then you are missing out big time. They are gigging all the time - seriously one of the best live bands I've ever seen and I've seen one hell of a lot. Unmissable!
