its not 2/2 or 2/4 or 6/8 etc a clave is written in 2/3 with two beats in the first bar (i.e. 2) and the last three remaing in the second bar (i.e. 3) hence 2/3, two beats first bar, 3 in the second bar.
You can flip it round as a 3/2 and have 3 beats first bar (i.e. 3) and the two remaining beats in the second bar (i.e. 2) making it a 3/2 clave so actually both of you are wrong!

the clave is 2/3, but won't actually write 2/3 as the rhythm patten on a sheet music or score, there u write 2/2

You got it wrong man, the clave, i.e. the cuban music writes in 2/2 or 2/4 or 6/8, etc. No in 4/4!!
