Could there be a more beautiful song? I could listen for hours to it over and over. The first time I heard it was in the movie "Roman Adventure" when I was young. I have loved it ever since. Bless you Luciano Tajoli.
No conocia esta versión, y sin duda alguno es excelente, además de que la orquesta está de primera. Gracias por subir tan buen número. Saludos desde México.
For posterity I would like to mention here that the original recording of this song was by Tajoli in 1961 --it rceived the gold medal in San Remo competition. Pericoli did it in the film in 1962 and his rendition is nowhere near as good as Tajoli's original. I will upload the original soon---you be the judge! By the way the lyrics: Al di la; del bene piu prezioso, ci sei tu Al di la; del sogno piu ambizoso, ci sei tu Al di la; del mare piu profondo, ci sei tu ..and so on....
Far away from the most valious things, there you are, far away from the most ambitious dreams, there you are, far away from the most beatiful things, far away from the stars, there you are, far away, there you are, for me, for me, you mean a lot for me. Far away from the deepest sea, there you are, far away from the end of the world, there you are, far away from the infinite time, far away from the life, there you area, far away, there you are, for me
I have the VHS Video and the LP, here in front of me. While this orchestral presentation can be seen as an honest attempt at a/the recreation of the magic atmosphere obligatorily embedded in the spirit of the scene in the movie, this rendition, as others performed/taken out of context, sadly, cannot accomplish that revisiting being a task, something beyond that to which it aspires. For this version, the song and its soul are Al Di La. BTW, was that Pierce Brosnan playing the flute? Kidding.
I love the feeling, the emotion, that Luciano Tajoli and the orchestra put into this performance. Nobody seems to be holding back, and the trap drummer and the timpani player are having a party!

This rendition is definitely not up to the standard set by Emilio Pericoli, from the movie soundtrack of "Rome Adventure".
