My word. So Klayton is a solo artist kinda guy under the moniker of ''Celldweller''' spelt exactly like that. A rendition of a past album ''Helldweller'' of a past band, a joke was made referring to Klayton as a ''Celldweller'' because of the in-ornate hours he spent sorting the recordings mixings etc. for the music produced. It stuck. He has a live-band of whom can be seen in the Switchback video but i'm not aware of them actually writing or recording any of it. Just performing.

It's actually not uncommon anymore for there to be "artists" specifically instead of "Bands" - One or two guys (especially in this genre) will do everything, Obviously we all know Klayton with C.D. here ;P NIN with Trent. We Are Now Awake consists of two guys, Keith Feighan and Sean Ferreiro. And the band I'm currently in, Ink Dot Boy, is all written by the singer/multi-instrumentalist "Ink Dot Boy" himself, then I'll record and play live drums. Lots of bands do it this way now. :)

@Necrostatix If I had to answer your rhetorical question it would be... Under the listing of "Bands" Celldweller will come up. Lets face it, unless it is a person's name it will be considered a band. Why? Simple because bands have a group name unlike artists who merely go by their own name or a stupidly created one (it how most of them are, more often than not). So when you hear a name that is not a person until you know it only has one member you believe it to be a band.

Whatever it is, I know one thing: Klayton has incredible voice - sometimes shrill, sometimes soft, sometimes histerical and then so damn sensual. Enough to fell in love with. (No need to worry - I'm a girl, I am allowed to feel that way ;)

Celldweller writes, plays and records the music all by himself. Except for guest female vocals, every sound on the album is him.

In concert, there are other people who play his parts for him. But they aren't really band members. They all have their own gigs.
