This was the procedure that killed so many women years ago in the 50's and 60's because it was considered illegal to have an abortion and its called a "Back Alley Abortion" the coat hanger was considered a simplier means to pucture or tear the placenta and most of the time they ended up pucturing the uterus of the woman which caused profuse bleeding and eventually death of the child and mother. This is the reason that the states are refusing to outlaw abortion for fear that women do this method.

@TheRealMidori That is a brilliant point. If you respect life so much, keep abortions legal and easy to access or else THIS is what women will turn to. They have in the past. Better yet, provide safe methods of birth control and make them easy to obtain (perhaps by funding more Planned Parenthoods) so that unwanted pregnancies are not conceived in the first place.

This was the procedure that killed so many women years ago in the 50's and 60's because it was considered illegal to have an abortion and its called a "Back Alley Abortion" the coat hanger was considered a simplier means to pucture or tear the placenta and most of the time they ended up pucturing the uterus of the woman which caused profuse bleeding and eventually death of the child and mother. This is the reason that the states are refusing to outlaw abortion for fear that women do this method.

I am a nurse practitioner who performs abortions and I just absolutely cannont believe anyone would actually post such a horrible and disgusting video. There are people out there that will actually attempt this and the person who posted this should be prosecuted and held responsible if anyone attempts to perform a home abortion. Even in the best of conditions: in a sterile environment, complications still occur. I just cannot believe this shit!
