He uses a sustainer, if you notice on his latest guitar setup, he has a different neck pickup, thats a sustainer. If you look up the "Schecter Synyster Custom-S" its a new guitar coming in January 2012, and it already has the Sustainiac installed for you, so you dont have to purchase it and then modify your guitar.

How he does that, if you notice on his guitar(2008 and after), his neck pickup is different, and that pickup isnt just an ordinary pickup, its a sustainer vibrates the strings, and it has a switch that turns a regular note into a harmonic. The new Schecter Synyster Custom-S that is comming in January 2012 has a Factory Installed Sustainiac on it.
