@MarcheseCadmio Thank you for your reply..interesting that the last chord is suspended...and leaves one hanging...maybe that's the magic of it. Also I love "The Model Animals"...so hauntingly beautiful
The last chord of the third novelelte is really great to play on the piano with the sostenuto pedal...all of the tones melt into each other and create such a fantastic, abstract haunting chord. that just fills the room.
@EquisTox Yes, Tacchino's interpretaions of Poulenc are so lively and neat... And the theme of 3rd Novelette is taken from one episode of De Falla's "El amor brujo": Poulenc's rielaboration it's something moving...
@MarcheseCadmio88 Indeed, I'm playig the "Pantomime" from "el amor brujo". which is this same theme, but honestly, i like poulenc's re-working of it better.

@peachmelba16 Yup, I love that feature too. A final, suspended chord is pretty common among Poulenc and Milhaud's works.

My favorite interpretation of these. These are great to play the piano but hard to reach for a small hand.

Thanks for uploading such a beautiful piece! I am thinking to include this in my Diploma ATCL programme. Mind telling me where can I get the score?

This is absolutely great!
Thanks for uploading,
I had only heard Pascal Rogé's version before, but this is something else.
That 3rd Novelette sure is magical, Poulenc at his most intimate, which is rare, actually.
