I want to love this but i would hate sitting across from other passengers with very little privacy.

If you want to look out the windows what do you do? crane your neck around? Seats look ok, not really the new business class standard but just ok. A new seating plan with a more private and functional configuration would greatly improve this service. The configuration in Etihad business class would be a much better plan for Virgin.

@BosleyBeats But it is a realm that have visited many times. I used to fly a economy a lot but now I can afford more & have lots of miles so I go Upper Class. The service has always been great, the beds are super comfortable, and they have great lounges. I can understand the disappointment but that the whole airline completely sucks because of a broken video and flat pepsi. I've flow BA several times & there I can say I've had bad service many times & their flat beds were not at all comfortable.

@hbga1 It's a difficult one, the VS Clubhouse is better than any lounge BA have for business class- even those Terraces in T5. The drive-thru check in at LHR is fantastic. There is much more risk with seat selection on BA - flying backwards or exposed to the aisle. The VS seat falls down on being a seat - there flip action means the recline is limited and the high walls not ideal for a family/couple wishing to chat. That said the ottoman on VS is much better and can be used for buddy eating.

@Dubaiification I see you views, I just felt a bit claustrophobic in virgins Upper Class and also I thought BA's Lounge was awarded best in the world? Yes Drive thru check in is a good idea with VS but there is more space in Club World.

@sfflyer123 Hi Buddy, Sorry I've only just seen this comment. The food was OK, nowhere near EK or QR but edible. I liked the simplicity of the menu, but the presentation and quality just didn't come up to scratch for me. I'd eaten well in the Clubhouse before though.

@wetr1234 Hi, I think you are confused with premium economy. There is economy, premium economy and upper class on Virgin, which is a business class eqiv. There is no first class.

Fantastic video, thank you very much for posting it..it is the first one on youtube giving a good impression of Virgin Atlantic! I very much appreciate the menue and wine list sections..both look exellent and find my approval, lol. All looks very stylish and food looks fresh. I still think I would not like the hering bone layout of the cabin, given the enthusiastic window looker that i am..and also there would be too many feet in my viewing are, lol. What was your impression?

@homer3152 I didn't have any wine, as it all looked a bit cheap with fancy descriptions. As a non-wine drinker I make sure it's good stuff that I endure! The flat bed and privacy is what really sets the Virgin Altantic seat out from anyone else. The high walls and long bed make it excellent for me, as I am 6ft 3. You can recline your seat during take off and landing which then means you can look out of the window with a little stretch, it's not ideal but it's always a balance with seats!
