  • Wait, do you realize that welfare is the smallest amount of the governments' budget? This video is misleading and makes it seem asif the government puts out a lot of money for people on welfare. If this was true, wouldn't there be less people homeless and starving? Wouldn't there be less people dying of diseases that they cannot afford to treat?

  • @shybanks1 no because welfare is a crippling system that is abused and defers personal responsibility. why else would the government consider third generation welfare recipents "disabled". why does the government sponser irresponsiblility. don't just look at welfare, include government housing, social security, food stamps and the such. then you should look at the fact that only 59% of the population pays taxes. it is very unsustanable and we're forcing the people to dependant on others

  • @shybanks1 yes there are many people that need help, but do you really believe 30,000,000 people "NEED" to be given help. the government isn't this faceless entity that just gives money away, it is made up of people. these people are forced into helping 10% of the population, and there are no incentives to get off of the teet. look at the average life span of government housing, (15 years) you don't appreciate what you don't work for! why can't we be responsible for our own success or failure?

  • @Jesscomena & seriously, I'm not responsible for anyone elses actions, & I've been paying taxes longer than you so you should be thanking me.& I'm not asking for shit, I want the government to raise my taxes as well as everyone elses. I'm happy to contribute, unlike you whom is too self centered to even care about the fact if you are alive in twenty years, you'll have to either pay even more taxes to pay the debt or deal with hyper inflation.

  • Now I see welfare children on video games our tax dollars are misused

  • Welfare constitutes less than 1% of our annual spending...

...whereas Defense Contractors pay off our politicians into spending over 60% on defense...and if you build it, ya gotta use it...horrifyingly.

So, what about the other 99% of annual spending...welfare reform ain't gonna save the country, and if you believe it...kill yourself, you idiot.

  • Once again placing fear into people(wealthy). What happens when the wealthy start to cannalbiize their own? Then what??

  • War against the poor...nice. I think there are plenty of things that could be cut first before you go ahead and take welfare away.

  • just send your people to another country to be a slave.

  • Welfare cannot be reformed untill we have full employment, we cannot have full employment untill we place tariffs on cheap third world manufactured goods, forcing manufacturing back to the U.S.

  • What a stupid video.

Welfare "reform" in 1996 didn't put anybody back to work, you morons.

  • @bandit957 You and Pelosi go to the same school?

  • @bandit957 Indeed true, all the supposed welfare reforms of 1996 did was kick the can a little further down the road.

what we have to do is start systematically eliminating welfare programs, for example tell everyone under the age of 25 that they're going to have to start saving their own money and planning for their own future.

Frankly, a gradual weaning off is the only solution, because it's blatantly obvious that the 96 reforms didn't solve the problem, they just put it off.

  • Can someone remind me as to why Americans still vote Democrat? Socialism doesn't work, M. Savage must of been right when he said, "liberalism is a mental disorder."

  • @nef2442 Because we don't believe every talking point we hear & aren't afraid of the word socialist.& The whole thing with taking a surplus & turning it into a deficit by increasing spending &cutting taxes for the rich.& raiding social security, getting us in 2 undeclared wars. Supporting the removal of habeas corpus. The elimination of the 4rth & 5th amendments? Generally we hate class warfare. That's why people vote Democrat. Any questions?

  • @yellowkrux Marx, and Lenin taught that Socialism is the 1st step to Communism. In other words, Socialism leads to communism. Class warfare exacerbates when government tries to regulate it.

  • @nef2442

WOW...you took Intro to Political Science in community college...Hurrah!!!!

Marx and Lenin are two totally different time periods: one was an economically broke intellectual...the other was a fascist...

The Soviet Union definitely made Marx roll over in his grave...along with your weak, non-intelligent platitudes.

  • @treid100182 You begin your reply with an ad hominem attack! lol! "Abolition of family" -Karl Marx. "Abolition of property" -Karl Marx. So you wouldn't mind the men in your neighborhood sharing your wife, your sister, your mother? Really, dude Communism (An atheistic regime) has killed more people than religious conflicts thousands upon thousands of times over. Your ignorance stems from the fact that the slaughter is so far removed from you. Talk to ex- commies for clarity!

  • @yellowkrux I'm a Puerto Rican the 12th child in a family of 15 we were raised on welfare and medicaid. Many families like my own have spiraled into the pitfalls of a culture of dependency created by Democrats. If you want to see what America is going to look like in the near future look at Puerto Rico as a microcosm, 30% unemployment 70% of the island is on welfare or some kind of government hand out. The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money!

  • @nef2442 Again, I'm not afraid of the word socialism, I was raised on medicaide, as where my siblings, we all work my brothermakes nearly 5 figures a year. Also, anyone who say "the problem with socialism is you run out of other peoples money" has no idea what socialism is. The really problem with socialism is concentrated power, everyone with half a mind realizes this.

  • @yellowkrux i'm so glad to have raised your family, you should be thanking me, not telling me i need to give you more money. your parents made the irresponsible decsion to have kids they couldnt care for. so i and every other working american must take care of you, and we didn't even get to enjoy the sex it took to make you. and are you really proud of almost 5 figures? that less than 10k a year

  • @Jesscomena & I'm so sorry I paid for your education. & Sorry 6 figures typo. Seriously you're retarded.

  • I loved it when Pelosi said that unemployment compensation was the best way to create jobs. How did she get where she is today?

  • @mcap52 What I would like to know is how was the person who is two heartbeats from the Oval Office elected by the wackJobs of SF?

  • @frogsoda You answered your own question. Her constituents are as crazy as she is.

  • @profwito "Most illegals pay their taxes." I haven't seen this study. Does the study show the how much is under the table? Does it also include day labor workers?

Is the study based on employed illegals or all illegals? And how many work 10-99 subcontracted never even showing up on record?

Anchor babies do not pay into the system either and one illegal usually births more than one.

And that's just health scare. Illegal immigration is soaking us in several other ways.

  • Slightly over half of all Americans — 52.6 percent — now receive significant income from government programs, according to an analysis by Gary Shilling, an economist in Springfield, N.J. That’s up from 49.4 percent in 2000 and far above the 28.3 percent of Americans in 1950. If the trend continues, the percentage could rise within ten years to pass 55 percent, where it stood in 1980 on the eve of President’s Reagan’s move to scale back the size of government.

  • welfare=plantation living

  • EXCELLENT!

  • Why is it welfare reformists never take into account international welfare? We give away billions every year to other countries that have the means to help themselves. Foreign aide is mostly administrative costs and what does go out only worsens poverty, disease, oppression, and starvation.

The billions we spend to maintain overseas bases saves the host country the trouble of spending on their own military.

End international welfare and spend our money on our own people.

  • We simply cannot afford more welfare. I fear our nation will look like Greece when the spigot is cut off. So be it. For every lifelong welfare recipient who riots, there will be a producer ready to take them on. Producers can no longer prop up those who refuse to work.

I pray for a conservative takeover in the November midterms. I've heard it said the future of our nation depends on it. I don't think that's hyperbole.

  • Obongo gives this video a thumbs down.

  • GEt rid of all the scripts and cookies I might could watch it without interuption....

  • I agree with everything except the marriage part. Fuck married people.

  • @UcanbeGOD For what reason?

  • @ImDiscombobulated Actually, watching the video again I misunderstood that part. I don't disagree with the married part. I thought it was giving them more shit than everyone else.

  • One major problem of the welfare system, is that it encourages single mothers to remain single, and have more illegitimate children. Every time they have another child, they receive more welfare benefits. Conversely, if they get married, their welfare is decreased. This backward system virtually guarantees that people remain in this vicious cycle in perpetuity. When I got pregnant, my employer did not give me an automatic raise, nor should he have. The same should apply to welfare.

  • Limit immigration? Go fuck yourself. We need to make it easier to LEGALLY immigrate here, not harder.

  • The immigrants spoken of in this video not only don't pay taxes but they also recieve welfare benefits. This hardly is "needed to keep Social Security and Medicare solvent."

Unwed mothers recieve benefits which are greatly reduced if they decide to marry, which (aside from being unjust) discourages poor families from adhering to the social covenant.

  • Agreed! and 1st!
