One major problem of the welfare system, is that it encourages single mothers to remain single, and have more illegitimate children. Every time they have another child, they receive more welfare benefits. Conversely, if they get married, their welfare is decreased. This backward system virtually guarantees that people remain in this vicious cycle in perpetuity. When I got pregnant, my employer did not give me an automatic raise, nor should he have. The same should apply to welfare.
The immigrants spoken of in this video not only don't pay taxes but they also recieve welfare benefits. This hardly is "needed to keep Social Security and Medicare solvent."
Unwed mothers recieve benefits which are greatly reduced if they decide to marry, which (aside from being unjust) discourages poor families from adhering to the social covenant.
