84 pairs a year means each pair lasts him about 4.34 days.....what the hell does he do to them?? I thought shoes were good for about 350-400 miles, at least trainers, idk about flats.
I've noticed that 3 hours/day total training seems to be almost the universal standard across a wide array of distance runners. Training details differ widely of course but 3 hours/day usually over 2 workouts seems to be at the base of elite training.
@medliberty craig doesn't actually RUN for 3 hours a day. If all of them were at 7 mins/mile (which is a conservative estimate) that would be more than 25 miles a day or 180 miles a week and it's clear Craig isn't doing that much. Probably 3 hours of total training per day (including supplementary exercises like lifting).
He's a great talent. Almost as good as Coe and Ovett over the mile and one of the elite over 5km, possibly could be a sub-27 guy over 10km, but the Africans are too good. If he was just 15 years older. He was born at the wrong time. Now he's no longer with Bideau, he'll be back. No disrespect, but he's better off without him. He needs to get some speed, the kind of Ovett acceleration, to get him out of trouble, to cover breaks and, of course, to kick over the last 80-100m.
yeh shit thats alot of shoes i do athleics and cross country i go through 7 pairs of shoes a year..in cluding spikes, flats and runners..god my training feels like crap now compared to his!! p.s go craig love ya man
180 km isn't as much as other elites, but it's smart training, not just volume. See all that cross training, that helps to get even more aerobic for the longer distances, while he has the repeats for track.
Did you film this with my 3rd testicle?

Well Mottram is one of the top 15, and last time I checked he was from Australia which is not East African.

where do you get the full film? is there a DVD or will it be aired on TV?

Another reason that race has nothing to do with performance. It's simply about dedication and determination and a heart full of passion.

Is this why every single one of the top fifteen distance runners in the world is from East Africa?
