Batman AA truly was the greatest game of 09' imo. Batman in my book, is one of those rare instances in gaming that really suprised me: No one thought it would be great cos' almost all the batman games prior were rubbish, but when the game out it got glowing reviews, and people we're amazed at how great it was. Good to see Arkham winning over the predicted champion, Uncharted 2. As impressive as Among Thieves is, in terms of its production, it's very linear and samey.

Arkham Asylum had variety, Bioshock levels of atmosphere, voice acting in the same league as the Uncharted series (which is to say excellent) and some real surprises - only the boss fights let it down.

That said, I suspect it won because it was British. BAFTA is notorious for favoring UK creativity over the rest of the world.
