There already was an investigation, and it's results are accepted by every major higher learning institution and professional association that has weighed in on the subject. You just simply don't like the results. Had the investigation claimed that thermite brought the buildings down, you would've accepted that as gospel truth, despite the fact that thermite has never been used to demolish a building. Steel can not melt from office fires or jet fuel.
There was not enough kinetic energy for the 3 towers to have fallen straight down through themselves at near freefall speed.
Building 7 was not even hit by a plane & had damage on only 1 side, but also fell into it's own footprint at near freefall speed with near symmetry.
They were the 1st 3 skyscrapers in history to fail like this & they all failed in the same way despite unique damage points.

Yes but NOT ALL METAL IS STEEL and they have wildly different melting points.
For example, iron (the main component of steel) melts at 2800 F. Tin melts at only 450 F.
You've taken eyewitness accounts of molten metal at the WTC site to mean that there was molten steel. That is a serious fucking lapse in judgment.

The steel does NOT need to melt or be cut for the structure to collapse. All it needs is to be heated to the point where it bends and eventually it'll bend enough to snap or force the failure of some nearby point in the structure. The steel DID NOT melt.

Weeks later? The molten metal was there FROM THE START & remained molten for weeks after the demolition. When there is ALOT of thermite & metal mixed together it takes weeks to go out & thermite provides it's own source of oxygen so water will not put out the fires.
