  • i cant believe people deliberately lit these fires

  • RIP to all those who died, but also RIP to the millions of animals that tragically died :(

  • why did all these have to happen...bless all those who are still suffering from the aftermath of the bushfires....Advance Australia fair

  • Fire fighters are my hero's. You don't know what they go through, even at the smaller fires, until you experience it yourself.. Watching them on tv makes it look like nothing compared to what it truely is.

Picture at 4.18 is awesome. He's a captain so to see him like that is just the worst to a firefighter..

  • good video. terrible tragedy

  • the fires where very close to where i lived (New Gisborne) i have no idea whats it like to go throw what they went throw

  • When in strife, aussies stand as one, all the way australia good on ya.

  • Thank you for the video. I'm 11 years old and I am gathering books and donations to help rebuild the bookmobile they had in Marysville Victoria. I live in Marysville, Washington US. Our library here is helping me, and we have someone in Australia to help us too. I will be at the strawvberry festival in my home town selling books, so we can buy more in Australia. We Marysvilles need to stick together.

  • Its so great to see how everyone is pulling together just goes to show how supporting us Aussies are well supporting isn't really the word.... The night of black Saturday fires people were sleeping at the town hall and my whole town was there donating stuff. R.I.P Bushfire victims :'(

  • Hi chris i live in england, my daughter was working in maryville lost everything in the fire... saved her cat..thats it...Thank you sarah..1 of the 1st video and still the best.

  • yes i am from the US and still i feel so bad

  • My heart goes out to all those affected by this tragedy. Another testament to humanity's tenacity to hold fast come what may. We will get through this, we will move on but we will never forget all those who lost their lives and homes to this tragedy.

  • Absolutely beautiful.

My heart goes out to all who were affected, and an endless thanks to the firies that did everything they could, without them, this could have been an even worse tragedy.

  • Thank you so much. I am living in Texas at the moment but grew up in Kinglake where the fires hit. I moved over here 10 months ago. My family and friends have lost so much. I wish i was back o the mountain holding my brother.

  • I pray for this beautiful nation and beautiful people to never face such tragedy again.

God Bless Australia for ever and ever.

    :(

  • those pictures are unbeliveable..have to see it to belive how big it gets..walls of fire

  • What a great tribute. Thank you for compiling all the photos. The song was perfect. What happened is unbelievable and so very tragic. What I love best about Australians is that they do care for what happens to others. We do live in a great place. Don't forget it and look after it and each other.

  • Magnificent. I am weeping like a baby now...Thank you.

  • Beautiful Tribute...Well Done.:)

  • Thank you, and thanks everyone for watching and commenting.

  • the song is perfect!! what a horrific bushfire! i live in australia, not there though but my thoughts are with the residents of victoria! thankyou SO much for making this video!! what's more p!nk & sarah sung a duet of this song & it was announced that p!nk donated $250 000 to the red cross bushfire appeal!! GO P!NK! you ROCK!! that's why i love her SO much! & to all those people affected by the fires, my heart is with you!

  • So many places people and memory's destroyed, im torn asunder by the depth of emotion that I feel for all concerend and may the utter low life mongrel that light the fire may you burn slowly and write in the same pain you created for those innocent peopl

  • thanks for showing us your vid.

God bless those who died. To the survivors......our prayers and support. We are Australian, we are one.

  • "Then we're no better then him. I agree, the ass needs punishment. But death is too quick a punishment for him. He needs to suffer, for the hundreds of people he murdered."

Yes I agree they should suffer until their final breath

  • Moment of silence please. It's very sad ou there.

  • in the tenth photo there is like a human figure that is being burnt by thr fire...all the situation is so sad..my thoughts are to the families that were affected

  • he's not actually being burnt, he's just in the background and the flames are in front.

but thanks for watching anyway, and yes it is very sad.

  • The arsonists should be burnt alive so they know how it feels.

  • Then we're no better then him. I agree, the ass needs punishment. But death is too quick a punishment for him. He needs to suffer, for the hundreds of people he murdered.

  • Having lived through the devastation of the 2001 christmas day fires in Sydneys west. I am reliving my own bushfire tragedy which pails in to insignificance compared to the tragic loss of life in thes fires.

Anybody who watches this and does not well up with emotion is made of stone.

A well done tribute to all the victims in this tragedy.

    Thank you.

  • This is so fucked to the point of being unbelievable. Yet you turn on the TV and there it is staring you in the face every time. Those poor people down there. It's nice to see tributes and so much generosity happening though, Australia has really pulled together.

  • Thank you for that. You might change the audio. It's a beautiful song but it's about alcoholism. Not really to the point.

5* anyway. Thanks for the links to send help. I've been wondering how to send something from over here.

  • It's actually about a heroin overdose, but that's not the point. It's what you make of the song, and what it means to you individually.

    A very touching video, indeed.

  • You know that made me cry and put a new perspective on feeling sorry for myself and my family as we struggled with unemployment and our loses. At least we can walk away and start over and we are alive. I feel so sad for those fellow humans ravaged by this terrible fire and how they must feel today...

  • A moving tribute. I feel..not guilty...but awkward here safe in NSW with such tragedy hapenning to the north and the south. The victims of these disasters are all I think about.I gave half my pension this week, and will do so again in a fortnight. It's not charity either,it's something I NEED to do as much as I want to do; more a privelidge than a duty. I know all Australians feel the same.

  • so sad :(

  • Beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. The koala got to me too.

  • Thanks for the vid, North Qld is starting to clean up after the floods but more rain may come :(

Better yet, the flood victims are donating money to the Victorians! such compassion is rarely seen!

    Best country on Earth

  • How sad that we have floods in North Queensland and fires in Victoria.

I agree though, Aussies are amazing.

  • what can i say being a dad of a girl working and living in merysvilli...she's safe with her cat (oscar) she saved from the fire... very lucky girl...

  • great video thanxs m8

  • sarah, you knew i would cry when u chose that song, didn't u.... and then the koala picture threw me overboard.. ily ilm ilu

  • lol i love you brendan =]

    ily ilm ilu x.

  • Brilliant video capturing the heart of an incredible tragedy. May it be over very soon. I so hope the arsonists are caught soon!

  • Wish you Australians the best.

    -Your American Buddy, Chris

  • that was a beautiful video. it brought a tear to my eyes watching it

  • thank you for watching.

  • Don't change the song!!!

Take from it what you may.... I did.
