  • A shame the DVD was never made. May have to burn my own from the VHS

  • Let me Retrack my staement from 6 onths ago. I guess the mail was directed elsewhere due to spam filters or some other mail oriented item.

  • Really cool. The, "Americans love to re-create because they have no history," I have to say is a bit off-putting, and not so accurate, but altogether looks very interesting.

  • As an American I will not speak for the rest of US., but I'm thinking that because we are still 'young' we like to 'play'. What better way than dress-up? However, I also think that because we are the proverbial melting pot, we like to take on 'all' of our cultures and see "what it was like". I'm mixed with about 5 (that I know) cultures. Native PowWows, Irish music, Scottish clan gathers, English elegance, French aristocracy, and Southern charm. (grin) Ain't it fun?

  • I would agree with that Cthulee. I also think it is because Americans are much closer in general to our extended families these days than are Europeans. Perhaps therefore we feel a greater connection to distant ancestors. Maybe because we've had no need here to deal with royalty and nobles namesake means more and carries none of the negative connotations that comes with inherited power.

I'm all those things as well! It is fun indeed.

  • Hey Wilhelm! Still, to this day, one of the funniest 4 hours I have ever spent.

To break open the inside joke, Wilhelm92 is in "In Service to the Dream" and during a particularly somber interview with a group of fighters, he busts out with that exact quote (above), reducing a dozen or so people to hysterical, crying messes for 20 minutes.

    Cheers, Wilhelm!

  • Hey man at least when the aliens take our guns away we will still know how to sword fight!
