This song to me is just pure love... And from an unknown reason it reminds me of a friend of mine that I rarely see. It has no words but it tells our story...
I remember listening to this one night, at about 2 AM on the Local On The 8s two years ago, and I had found it a month later on Youtube. It took me two years to find it again.
A college roomate introduced me to this song back in '91, and I can still remember how I felt while absorbing it for the first time. Some music leaves us a changed person forever after listening to it.
When I was in college, early 90's, there was an Aids Quilt that people would dedicate squares to those who died. It came to my college and I was a door man for the evening. They played this song and I sobbed so hard I could not catch my breath. There were so many names and pictures, many children, moms, all wonderful people. I will never forget that evening. Not a dry eye in the room.
@ElegantPaws01 I remember NE and loved it, and I know this song (like the back of my hand), I didnt see this song used, if it was used, it would have been great!
@LethiaPage it was used in NX, episode Lost and Found. search youtube for ''Northern Exposure "Lost and Found" Ending'' and you will see the scene... =)
When I was preparing for the birth of my son I recorded this song over and over again so this is what I delivered my son to....It's peaceful. beautiful and calming..I own the cd so no laws were broken..
Hi Mr. McFerrin. God Bless you! you're still the best! I danced to this music 20 years ago with my colleagues. I used to be a professional jazz dancer based in Manila, Philippines. I became a dance teacher and still teach dance and choreograph a lot. it's so refreshing to listen to this track again. Thank you for always making and sharing "responsible" music. Your fan, James Laforteza

He is one of a rare breed of musicians who literally channel love and emotion through themselves and express it through their music. It matters not whether you are religious, you can't help but feel a wash of spirituality just listening to him.
@imapepperman please don't state your age, its irrelevant. i understand your trying to prove that it is irrelevant, but for those who know this, this becomes annoying.
@imapepperman We never get too old for a good lullaby, Honey. I just sent this CD (Medicine Music) to my friend who just had a baby. I hope the family loves it. I think it is music that can grow with a person.
In other news...did yall know...that the harmonica in this song is played by Stevie Wonder? What a lovely collaboration!
This is my favorite Bobby song. I played it as a lullabye to my children every night, and every night I'd get a little weepy. It is peaceful and lush and emotional all at the same time. Way to go, Bobby!
Es mi dios! viva Boby McFerrin!

I adore this song! It's so comforting. And it was in such a lovely scene in Northern Exposure. I always tear up a little listening to it. :)

Correction, this was used in Northern Exposures - Lost and Found episode. Totally appropriate for the town's philosopher....a character called Chris.

@ElegantPaws01 The scene that this was used in was so lovely, it really summed up what the show was like. :)

I believe this was used in the last episode of one of the best series ever - Northern Exposure. Who else remembers that?
