  • This Cliff bothers me. He's such a pain in the ass.

  • My uncle was the guy who gave the pineapple to that girl! so for christmas we're getting him a pineapple! haa shhhx

  • @kgarner1999 THATS AWESOME!

  • at 3:04 is it just me, or can you not pay attention to the people dancing when you have Alan's crotch in your face?

  • If only I could see Alan Cumming.....i mean what? ;)

  • @yourfaceandmum hahahah i see what you did there.

  • i love the pineapple scene.. :>

  • Does the lips mean they censored something or more like indicating next act?

  • @Adlea13 I was wondering the same thing?

  • even more than the song, it's alan cumming: his movements and stance and face and eyes and everything it just sends chills down my spine.

  • @luckylover91

It's supposed to represent an anthem for the rising Nazi party during the show. The song is played to emphasize that they're growing and coming to power, which is why the Emcee looks disappointed and a little scared while it's playing up until the last part when he actually speaks. It's a beautiful song, but it has an evil and ugly undertone to it. I hope this helped. :)

  • Fun fact that has probably already been mentioned: Given that fresh produce was being heavily rationed, a pineapple would be a pretty epic gift to receive. The "fill your entire room with pineapples" line would be like saying he would fill her entire room with diamonds.

  • Alan Cummings is simply a beautiful person and i just can't get enough of him! :D

  • It's so strange. Tomorrow belongs to me is such a chilling song. But it's so good haha. The melody is so well written. The message is awful but damn it's a good song.

  • Fraulein Schneider and Herr Schultz are such a sweet couple. :) I especially love these actors portraying them. And Alan...well, he's always lovely...and hot. :P Thanks for posting; this version of Cabaret is wonderful.

  • 34,434 views, 75 likes and no dislikes. :D That says something

  • alan cumming is sex on a person

  • Tomorrow Belongs To Me actually gave me chills. Wow.

  • To clarify, this song is not sung by Alex Bowen, its actually sung by me, Simon Middleton age 13 at the time...

  • When the cameras zoom in on Alan's face, I want to gently stroke him.He looks lovely until he speaks. You can feel the bitter taste.

  • Damn. Alan Cumming's has extremely muscular legs. Like his character would say, "So, HOT!"

  • oh adam godley when he was younger.

  • I used to think this version of Sally was really annoying but now I think she's really charming and cute.

  • 5:00 ???????????

  • jajaja Alan dancing with the pineaple is so funny XD

  • Whoops, Adam's accent is slipping here.

  • Pleasesomebody tell me ... what is the meaning of "looking for 2 marks"? i know this was the german currency but why was she looking for 2 marks was it the reward for turning in a jew?

  • @Justinsupermagic its either her blackmailing him about his love for fraulein schneider or for.."abit of fun"

  • @jestanotherguy I think she's propositioning him, actually. As in "I'm looking for 2 marks....that's what it costs to sleep with me."

  • @sldeep thought so. thank you

  • HEHE emcee is so funny. i thought he was too raunchy at first but now i just think he's cute. and awesome. a great actor for sure!

  • @thatswhatsheread I'm about to blow your mind.

    He also played Hamlet.

  • @blithium WHAAA?! MIND *IS* BLOWN!

  • God Bless Alan Cumming! :D :D :D

  • What was cencered out in the "Tomorrow Belongs to me" scene?

  • Props to Alan Cumming for a minute-long plie...

  • @chickachickabombom You noticed that as well ? Wonderful thigh muscles this man must have...

  • PINEAPPLES

  • wow a pineapple song now i've heard it all....... i love alan too he's amazing he deserves a pineapple

  • O_O adam godley let the old amersham make an appearance once the anger set. it is always so deliciously satisfying to catch such things!

  • who is alex bowen?

  • The voice on the record.

  • someone enlighten me.

what's the significance of alan listening to "Tomorrow Belongs to Me"?

  • it was to show how the nazi's were taking over the entire country of germany and how that the days of freedom and "Cabaret" would soon be over

  • @shadowkid379 I love the show so far, but in the original staging, the male chorus exposing their armbands was really effective, very chilling.

  • alan is just adorable in this musical!

  • Could someone explain the pineapple to me?

  • I think the said earlier she grew up by the sea, so it's my opinion that the pineapple reminds her of tropical areas which she might favor.

  • there very expencive

  • The pineapple is an extremely expensive fruit, and coupled with Schneider's subtle "fruit fetish".. well.. You do the math..

  • I love the use of a pineapple! They're so adorable!

  • You also have to remember that Herr Schultz is a fruit salesman. Giving the pineapple is a really romantic gesture for him.

  • he sells fruit, pineapples were expensive at the time so it's an extravagant gift, that's about all really

  • Amazon credits Alex Bowen with singing Tomorrow Belongs To Me on the 1998 Broadway Revival CD. The boy soprano on this is clearly not the same as the American child on the Broadway Revival CD. Does anyone know the correct credits??? Thx

  • hahah i love 3:23 soo funny alan cumming in the entire Pineapple song is sooo funny =]

  • i love how the emmcee (alan cumming) just pops in and out... creepy and omnipotent...

  • haha.

    2:10.

    so cute.

  • Tommorrow belongs to me sequence is blood curdling.. even more than the reprise I think

  • i totally agree

  • @EidahageFeroe All I was watching at that part was Alan's epic leg stength ^o^

  • the boy who sings "tomorrow belongs to me" is a very good singer

    thanks so much for posting

  • where is the money song in this version??

  • who plays Cliff in this version. I swear ive seen him before

  • I think he guest starred in "Pushing Daisies".

  • his name is Adam Godley.

  • lol He did.

  • I had the same feeling when I watched this

  • I'm growing to love that door.

  • Looks like the Emcee is modelling the Latest in High-Tech Fruit. That would so work as a TV commercial... OMG he's making it DANCE!

Sorry, Alan sends me hyper just by being.

  • there is a song missing ( actually two) in the original production Cliff sings " Why should I Wake up", and then in the 1987 revival he sings "Don't Go", after he says dont go to Sally. the conversation that takes place when he's convincing her to stay is supposed to weave in and out of " Don't Go"

  • I wonder where Money and Mama went... I've seen those in the Dutch production, I wonder why they aren't in this one...

  • They should have kept "Why Should I Wake Up". Not only is that probably the most heartfelt song in the show, but it's Cliff's only major solo number.

  • Does anybody know what song that was playing on the phonograph that the MC brought out?

  • Tomorrow Belongs to Me

  • thats a good song

  • I just love how the Master of Ceremonies pops in and out of scenes! This is such a marvelous show!

  • I feel like there is a section missing between this one and the next...with the song Money and Married...

  • Thats the best Tomorrow belongs to me I've ever seen
