YOU CANNOT USE THIS PHONE ON T-MOBILE SIM - you can get the sim in but you will not be able to make calls or text or get service of any kind. The Frequency in Canada and the US is 850Mhz the phone supports the 800Mhz and 1900Mhz band. Meaning that this is a hardware problem that cannot be fixed without upgrading the components or overclocking the device which as far as i have been able to see, has not been successfully done yet.
I got the unlocking pin from free from Verizon.I call the global support and tell them you need to roam out of the country, then they would give you that code.
The problem I have now is, T-Mobile SIM card doesn't work with the unlocked 8830 due to frequency problem. Anyone know how to make it work?
please is there any way of you posting a video of how to unlock i got this as a present but my mom didnt know i have t mobile.... is there any way you can teach me?
No one can see what is happening with this video. It's so blurry! What was the point of this?

domestic gsm and international gsm networks are on different frequencies, you cant use a domestic sim card in a 8830
