  • @xxOfficialEpicBlogxx I want to go visit Vancouver! : )

  • Wow you can open the doors to the next train? i dont think i can do that in vancouver

  • I miss korea.

  • wooaahhh I wonder if the Japanese announcement is the same like in Japan :3 maybe someday i will go investigate South Korea... only if they still allow Japanese there. 面白いね。ww

  • I worked near there and lived there as well. I used that subway line every Monday through Friday, and it was alright, looks like they made some improvements. Gasan Digital Tanshi has some interesting shops, I really liked that area, as well as Guro. I miss Seoul. The best time of year to be in Seoul is the summer because all the women are letting their legs show.

  • Wow, there was a guy with a bike. Can you do that in Korea? I never saw that before.

  • @TheSplashJonas Yes they started allowing it a couple of years ago : )

  • We need subways like that in my country (Peru)!!! the traffic is a nightmare.. :'(

  • 隣の車両に行くときドア開けると反対側も連動して開くんだ!!

    すごい・・・

  • Want to get out of this little town in Tennessee. I want to have a cute little apartment in Seoul. I think the city is absolutely beautiful. I thank you so much for making these videos. You're bringing me closer to the city I was born to live in.

  • Ha I miss the subways they have in Asia, if only NYC had subways like these.

  • It's like turkey

Turkeys subway stations r the same ^^

  • @skullRAWR to prevent people falling to the ground and also those screendoors can prevent suicide

  • What are those screendoors for? We don't have those in Belgium...

  • Seoul is probably the best place in the world to see girls with hot legs on the subway

  • May I ask you something?

How does it smell like? Good? Vanilla??

Some people told me that it smells like something very sweet Do you have any clue?

    Please I want to know!

    Kissesss

  • great video lol I wasn't in Korea for very long but I practically used the subway everyday this feels like im on it again XP

  • haha i love that people don't "excuse me" just push yourself through:)

  • Sweet I love it. I just might move to south Korea. The subways in NYC suck ass and is expensive. This makes nyc subways look like the stone age. LOL

  • by watching diss... i truely kno how crappy englands stations r ew!

  • I was in seoul last winter (my 1st time in seoul). It was amazing because seoul subway stations have too many staircases. Its like never ending staircases.Umm...citizens are allowed to drink & eat, they spit on the subway floors as well.So I was a bit shocked.Transit is a kind of like a "labyrinth effect for me", as I walked to another transit station, I always have the feeling that it is a long long way :P Nonetheless, Seoul subway cabins are quite clean though :)

  • @chokoreo i hate the spitting thing too.. most of the time smokers or men do it and it really makes me want to avoid it. that and the sheer amount of people smoking in public are my only pet peeve about living in Korea and I'm Korean.

  • @ever4one

How come there are no student wearing their uniforms on the subway? I thought many Korean students ride the subway to and from school. Or was this taken on a day off?

  • @eatyourkimchifan the video is probably taken in the middle of the day.... when students are at school

  • Does anyone else thinks that 0:05 looks like London's Underground?

  • I want to ride a subway in seoul, and to eat kimchi , and shop cute things ):

    I wannaa go sooo bad!

  • much preferable than in japanese subs where talking/conversing with someone and on a phone would make other passengers feel irritated and look at you in a bad way... this sub atmosphere is way more liberal...

  • 1:08 성복행 성폭행

  • I was surprised by how cheap mass transportation was in Seoul when I was there in Nov. 2010. Suway fair one way was less than $1.00 US dollar. It was very clean and efficient.

  • grrrrrate.. I felt like I was in Seoul.. I miss everything from there.

    thanx from Australia

  • grrrrrate.. I felt like I was in Seoul.. I miss evrything from there.

    thanx from Australia

  • nice pov video ;)

  • me gustan mucho tus videos saludos........

  • the fact that you can go from car to car is great. we can't do that here...

  • haha looks like a virtual subway station

  • love it

  • I've never been on a subway before. O: They look scary...Lol! How do you not just get lost with all the crazy lines and stuff? Urgh. So confusing to me.

  • Can you make a video of going to Times Square using Subway Line 1? Haha, I'm not really sure how to get there ><

  • I want to visit Seoul one day, it seems like a really awesome place =)

  • I'm scared of subways because we don't have any in my country. i would have gotten lost in japan if my teacher wasn't there haha

  • omg i took that sub way all the time!! i lived at studied at sookmyung, 3 days after i came back to america ;)

  • If Bush didn't spend those billions on Iraq our major cities would have subways that actually look modern and with trains with so much room.

  • @venusfan well...it's still a bit pointless. American cities are so spread apart.. and big cities aren't close together...in Korea big cities are right by other big suburbs and remember, the entire South Korea takes like 4-5 hrs to drive across in a normal freeway traffic. it will cost too much money to make good subways in US that would take ppl to great distances.

  • subway so beautiful that is great even though they know something the coaches are a very ugly design, but inside they are beautiful, it was hot in the city because all Adabas very open, some ads shine, as that is to pass between cars? ?? also need to pass your card to exit?? here could hopefully one day have that, but in my meter has beautiful murals and are ... ORANGE ....

    greetings from mexico

  • Thanks!

  • " Most subs broadcasts in English etc etc " I was thinking of going to Seoul someday & wondering how the hell I was going to cope with the public transports if all the signs are in Korean characters. This helped clarified it, thanks! ^^

  • the screens would be so useful, here in LA we only have 1.5 subway lines (lol the 2nd one is a continuation of the other one in another direction... -.-) the other day, there was video of a lady in a daze walking towards the platform with her bag and just kept going until she fell in... o.o so scary...

seoul subways (well asian/european subways) look so much nicer and cleaner than ones here, even in new york... our subways smell like pee :'(

  • @lyrad89 oh yea, as nasty and ugly the subways are here, they are so expensive too :'(

  • I live in the only city in all of Israel with a subway system, ours is also the shortest in the whole world. I should make videos about my city and cultures if you'd be interested in learning about it. :P

  • @ChaoticShelly Yes! Please make a video and let me know! :) Or if you can, please add it as a video response to this one. I'd love to have a look! ^_^

  • @ever4one Sure, once I get a camcorder It's on the top of my To Do list (It takes exactly 8 min. from the first station to the last one, It's rather funny!) ^_^

  • @ThomasHollweck Thanks a lot!! I'll be sure to go check out your site! :)

  • @ThomasHollweck 2:02 would u tap her

  • @tokee1234567 Ah...That would make sense since it is much smaller. I want to go and see for myself!!! It would be so cool because it's so different than what I'm used to.

  • wow so coool

  • @prashanthaku Thanks! :)

  • To be honest, when i compare england to south korea, south korea is obviously better in terms of what you can see in this video. The screens to prevent falls is an absolutely clever thing to have as a safety measure :) Extremely useful. And i never knew that the announcements are in about 4 different languages that is just great. I've been on many trains in england and they don't have that, it's crap here :(

  • @jaychoujielunfan To me personally, what I think is the best about Korean subways is that they are so much cheapers than some other big cities in the world :)

  • @ever4one Agree, i visited just this summer and was extremely suprised at how little it costed me for a days travelling :0 I have to pay x3 that price just for a 15 mins journey back and forth by bus only! and it isn't anywhere near as convenient as the subway :)

  • @jaychoujielunfan TBH the screens are a good idea ONLY and ONLY if they don't have massive gaps in them for doors for you to fall in/get pushed before the train comes onto a 660V live rail. We in the UK also have screens on the jubilee line, which are proper with no massive gaps. It isn't an ingenious idea, it has been there for 40 years, most countries don't implement it because of the cost.

  • dunno if you have seen the japanese cult movie 'suicide club' but is the glass mainly there because of rising numbers of people jumping off the platform?

  • @ever4one I live just of outside Houston, Texas. Houston has public transportation in thr form of buses but where I live we don't have public transport. Everyone has a vehicle themselves or find a friend with a vehicle. That's why when I see people walking places in Korean TV shows I find it sooo strange. That's not possible where I live. XD

  • @xoxKenziexox well south korea is very small. if you drive straight down the country by the highway, it will take you 4-5 hrs to reach the bottom coast, and 1 more hour to go to the very southern jeju island. that's why they have a good public transportation and everybody walks. SK is literally smaller than Texas itself

  • In Japan some Japanese people won't sit next to a foreigner on a subway { I was told they were afraid I might ask a question and they didn't know how to speak English}..is it the same in Korea?

  • @Trace7173 It depends. :) Some girls don't even like to sit next to native Korean guys! (They just want personal space, I guess). I think people are generally less afraid of being asked questions in English in public :)

  • we dont have screen doors in england, why do you have them on your platforms?

  • @MrPointyarrow They have them to prevent falls :)

  • I like this video!

  • @TheFaustianMan Thank you!

  • we dotn have subways where i live :-P but it does look clean indeed :D

  • look at all the pretty girls ^_^

  • @NeaguClaudiu ^__^

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, it's so clean!

  • @DisturbedAng3l I wasn't really paying attention to how clean it was, but it's interesting how a lot of people seem to think it's clean :)

  • @ever4one Compared to my city, I'm afraid it puts my city to shame. :(

  • That looks really cool.

I wish I had a subway in my city but we don't.

  • @xoxKenziexox Thanks for viewing the video. : ) Where do you live?

  • Great!!! :D i hope i'll be able to go there next year.

  • @Hind1982 Hope you can come here next year!!! Thanks for watching the video!

  • Cool video! I've been wanting to go to Seoul and I was wondering what the subway system was like. Thanks for uploading this!! :D

  • @Sugii77 Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!

  • woow la verdad creo que si voy me perderia haha, gracias por el video!

  • @TheMemez Jejeje. De nada!

  • i love the video i really enjoy watching it feels like im walking with u ^^

share alot of these video ^_^

  • @letMeBeAsinger Thanks! I will !

  • can you explain the subway cards in america there is metro-cards can you explain in a video

  • @blackstarglobal That's a good idea :) I will make a video about that when I can!

  • ooo!! i vote for shopping malls too!! ^^

i dont know if you are allowed... :\ but if possible~!! ^O^

    this was awesome!! ^^

    thank-you~!

  • @nisha021737 Hehe I will try :)

  • I love the Seoul subway system.

I would love someone to do a photo essay with pics of every station!

My stop was Hwarangdae on L6 - anyone know it?

  • @rei20062007 Oh that would take days! but would be fun to do it!

  • I'm big and fat, so I like cold days more. Does it get very cold in Seoul in winter? Maybe -10 degress?

  • @Shadowdancer21b It sometimes goes as low as -10 degrees in Seoul too :)

  • Make more videos of you walking around the places you go, I really love these types of videos!

  • @GoobBoy09 Thank you :) I'm thinking of purchasing a steadicam device just to make more of these videos :)

  • @ever4one Steadicam - awesome!

You don't mind walking around with a camera, that is great. I get too self-conscious! Also my wife gets annoyed when I film everything...

  • you have to pay when you exit?

  • @KimThanhSmiles No, you just have to have the card read at the gate, but they don't charge you extra if you don't go over the basic distance. If you go far away, the gates know where you were coming from and can charge you some extra wons :)

  • So Cool! How did you managed not to trip and fall? My clumsy self would've landed on someone's lap lol

  • @lavinia201 Hehe. I did my best not to! :)

  • i started laughing around 2 minutes. you had a long walk down the train!

i wonder how you carried the camera - could people see you filming them?

    ><

  • @wellieyy I think people saw me but didn't really care because I wasn't moving slowly enough to capture everybody's face :) I walked a little bit fast on purpose so that I do not bother anyone :) I was carrying my camera in my right hand :)

  • wow those train doors are fricken cool....

  • @OhSooRandommOriginal You mean the automatic doors between cars? Yeah they were installed quite recently (like less than a year ago) and I think they are really cool. No more pushing and pulling of the heavy doors.

  • very interesting vid. my dad used to talk about yong dong po

  • @worldtravel101 Oh, your dad was in Seoul?

  • @ever4one yes, he was stationed there in 1952-53, hes seen pictures of modern day Seoul and is shocked how much it changed. we always enjoy your vids :)

  • @worldtravel101 Wow! My parents were born during those years :) and I was born in Gwangju in 1980, and I have seen a lot of astonishing changes too. It's great to know that your dad enjoys my videos too! Thank you for letting me know!

  • I have no subways in my country :-(

  • @ratifusa Where do you live?

  • @ever4one I live in Uruguay, South America

  • @ever4one What was the green card you used when you were leaving the station?

  • @MiSoMeghan It's a T-money card (transportation card) that you can use to ride subways, buses and taxis and you can top up after use :) I'm going to make a video about it sometime.

  • @MiSoMeghan It's a T-money card (transportation card) that you can use to ride subways, buses and taxis and you can top up after use :) I'm going to make a video about it sometime.

  • pleasant suicide guards in the station

  • thats one long train!! thx really enjoyed the video, esp. cuz we didn't get to ride one when we were there!

  • Great idea! The subway is cool pretty much everywhere but one sometimes wonders what it looks like in other countries. Nice video. :)

  • @AFXisgreat Gamsahamnida :)

  • are you allowed to bring pets in the train?

  • @potterstinks If you carry them in a carriage bag, it's fine :)

  • :-)

  • I love being on the subway in Korea!

  • wow, so much space and its very clean too. and no noisy people.

  • 2:55 I thought that noise was you sniffing those girls. LOL.

  • These are interesting. I might be more into Japanese since I'm learning it, but these sites are really neat, and very interesting!

Keep 'em coming, Hyunwoosun! ...Is that how you spell it? x3

  • man i miss korea T.T...

  • thank you! you're awesome!

  • My friends and I did the exact same thing last week! We were supposed to get off at 영등포 but we weren't paying attention.

  • do record more videos in seoul! =) wish I could stay there..~ =) anyways lovin ur videos~!! keep it up!

  • I wanna see the shopping malls....hehehe

  • love line 1 :)

  • 映像で見る分には日本と同じに見えるけど、行くとやっぱり韓国は外国だな、と感じます。

    なんというか、韓国はやっぱり大陸で日本は島国だな、という感じです。

  • @gtoyas 僕も時々日本に行くたびに感じることなんですけど、映像で見ると似てるなと思っても実際に行ったらやっぱり違うと思う時が多いですね:)そのためもっと面白いですけど^^;

  • Seoul looks so ridiculously pretty TT__TT

I seriously want go to there on vacationsss !

I love videos like these, by the way ^_^

It almost feels like I am there.

If you ever have any spare time, mind to show us more public places in Seoul? ^__^

    I'd love to see more!

  • @sundaybug More public places, okay! :) Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Just think if someone was pushed or tripped on that escalator! Yikes...not fun. D: Though I have road on some similar in Tokyo.

  • Aw, man. I hope you weren't in a hurry. Getting lost in public transportation. That's so me... except you seemed really calm about it. I would have a mini freakout first. Lol.

  • @tpeach Hehe I managed to make it on time :) I'm actually always amused whenever I get lost ... thinking "oh not again!"

  • Thank you for the video. The good thing about public transportation, you never have to worry about fixing a broken vehicle.

  • wow its so clean! and its actually not that packed

  • Its very easy to get lost on line number one! I avoid line one as much as possible!

  • Great video/station! I'm in the Yangjae area today!

  • Comment removed

  • what line is that?

  • @sendmetokorea It's line number 1 :)

  • @ever4one is that the one that goes in a big circle?

  • @sendmetokorea No that'd be line number 2 :)

  • @ever4one wow. i can't believe i forgot already! that means i need to come back again hehehehehe~

  • @ever4one how do you get lost?your korean :P,seoul subway system is awesome compared to NYC,

  • Comment removed

  • wow i wish the los angeles subway look like this.. =[ it looks a lot more safer because of those screen blocking the edge so no one will fall in. =] if only america will spend money for that.

  • great walk and show.thanks.

  • 3:39 that guy looks foreign..but thnx 4 posting this cuz i get to see Korean style outfits on just about every age group on the subway~

  • i heard people in korea don't like koreans speaking english. how much of that is true??

  • Is the only thing that did not confuse me in Korea... I even learned how to get places by subway station locations... epic lame ^u^*

  • Thanks for these videos. I really enjoy watching this kind of stuff. It really helps out with learning more about Korea.

  • I used to take the muni(subway) to school and i would miss my stop a lot. I usually counted the stops without looking ( they did not announce stations/streets) but sometimes the driver would skip stations if people werent there an no one buzzed the get off button/bell. So that threw me off. but mostly just thnking is enough to make you skip stations.

p.s. I'd be hiding inbetween cars too, i love it, removes the other people and its more calm. san francisco muni, you cant walk between cars.

  • Can you show shopping malls in Korea? :)

  • @Laynyzinha Deal!

  • @ever4one Thank you!

  • oohh! thanks. that was fun. also, you are a fast walker, or at least it seamed very fast. that escalator would freak me out! :)

  • LOL there were people hiding between the subway cars

  • @korruptdsoul Yeah I thought that was super funny XD

  • Great video.

  • wow...
