How long did this take, and how much money did it take to build/paint this?

My Friend and I are thinking of making an army also, but we think it's to expensive, (I am 11, and my Friend is 13) We are HUGE, Warhammer 40k fans, so we thought of doing this, We are planning on what/which to get first. Reply fast :)

What does 'the dip' actually mean? Ive heard it around a bit, i assume its dipping models into paint? or no?

@LoverzCry i did opt for the quick version as i sometimes get really lazy with my painting marneus is always nagging me he wont build me until i paint a complete unit as i start them and then dont complete them.

the army looks great, and the battlefortress isn't "shabby" it's orky : )

but still if you can get your nearest and dearest to give it an airbrush touch up it can't be a bad thing. the army does look spankin' though and I can't wait for the next update, or even the Ordo Malleus come April. I'm sure by then you'll be glad of a change colour scheme, take a break from the green tide, keep up the good work.

That is one scary looking army. i take my hat off to you. I seen you painting a hole bacth of orcs in a row that takes pure dedication to paint troops in bulk like that. have to say it really is a very impressive army.

Have to be honest i'm a little jealous of the orks when are space marines going to get a plastic super heavy :( ( crying to myself wishing for a £70 plastic titan that will never happen lol )

God I remember the pain of painting the 20 boyz that came with AoBR, never mind doing 70 of the buggers. how do you paint your orks? they look great! also, is it a quick method?

@Mopper123 yeah i just base coat them in goblin green for the skin blood red for the trousers and snakebite leather and boltgun metal then just brush the dipping solution on like a wash and leave for 1 day paint the bases and i am done that quick i only paint on the weekends anyway so i paint as many on friday and saturdays and dip on the sunday i then finish the bases off the following weekend when i start again. thanks mate.
