@wpg420 It's inaccurate because it's out of date. You're basing it on (debt level) "Canada fell from $800.4 billion to $791.2 billion between 2000/01 and 2004/05" (taken from frasier doc). 2005 was quite a long time ago. If you want to be accurate then make a new video using 2010 data.

I dont have a $75,000 debt. Only tax payers do. The supreme court of Canada says you dont have to pay income tax. The B.N.A. act of 1867 also states this fact. The feds have no right to collect any tax. The constitution say only provinces have the right to collect tax. Parliament cant even pass the law because its unconstitutional. Show any judge in Canada these two documents and he will agree with you. Show some backbone Canada DONT PAY TAX. GST is also unconstitutional.

The "trick" is to understand who has a tax liability. ie, what is the definition of "taxpayer", "taxable income" and "person" for starters.

A large majority of people voluntarily commit themselves to an income tax liability because they don't know any better.

We all need to be responsible and understand what is going on.

I have no problem working on my tax return to get my refunds in a legitimate way. I do want more deductions for married families who commit to a mother staying home for good of family and society.

However, I also see the need to support and maintain our roads, our modern way of ease in society. If you use public roads, schools, hospitals, medical care, then one should be responsible and pay their share! But not overpay.

I know better, I could *trick* or *cheat* on my taxes quite easily, but that would not be ethical. There are ethical ways to loweer ones taxes. I am a former professional banker/accountant, I know them all.

However, I prefer to pay what belongs to Caesar and try to work my taxes for my and my families benefit.

The govt is taking more and more taxes, so finding ways to keep money that is legitimately ours is a concern. Be above board is important.
