I would love to see you use a flat iron one time just to see the actually lenth of your hair :) Your hair is similar to my cousin's hair. Their hair can get straight, but shrinks right back after a whole day lol I never thought hair could shrink that much!!
I have the gold bird cause, well basically cause the yellow bird was on sale and I missed it so I got a cheaper family member. Can't wait to watch the video.
your hair is so beautiful. I have not had a perm in like 5 yrs and still want to know about how to go fully natural. right now i wear my hair braided or sew-ins

Your hair looks amazing! So beautiful. It would help to know if your hair is already air dried before you started blow drying or if it was still damp... ?
Yes beautiful, thick, long, luxurious hair great vid Nina! You inspired me to get the yellowbird a few months ago and it is definitely the truth dries my hair quickly and with ease! :)
There always has been and always will be "haters" when you are doing something right...I love her videos and would never point out a flaw....I am appreciative of the information provided, with or without the inaccuraces. I am happy to know a black woman is doing her thing. Sorry BBBD, "haters" come with the success. Its always something. Haters look for flaws to point out...supporters support you even when you mess up.
The last time I blow dryed my hair, it looked like I had pressed it. I got scared and immediately wet it. Did I do something wrong? Do you have a preference on the blow dryer that you use? I see alot of natural vids with the Yellow Bird. Just wondering if my blow dryer is the issue??? BTW love your hair!!!
@strawberidaqri I agree 100% with you Ms.Beri...it's really not that serious, right. :) We should be positive and support one another....whose "grading?!" This woman clearly loves what she is doing...and FREE at that...and everyone does EVERYthing differently. God Bless natural queens!
Thank you for the technique info... those who are here to criticize you length are completely missing the point:( you hair is longer that mine, so there is no reason to discuss your length:) you hair looks great:)
I just wanted to say Thank You for making these videos. You are a constant encouragement to me. I've learned a lot from your videos and I'm starting to see growth. You have beautiful hair, a beautiful face, and a beautiful personality. Be blessed.
I just wanted to say Thank You for making these videos. I've noticed an increase in the criticisms in the last few posts but I wanted to take an opportunity to say that you are an encouragement to me and I respect the grace you use in politely ignoring them. It takes courage to put yourself out there. Yes, people are entitled to their opinions but they also are entitled to not watch your videos if they don't like your methods. Again, Thank You so much for taking the time to do these videos.
Fabulous hair!! Now can you do a tutorial on how you do the "shingle method (if you do this. This is when you saturate each piece of your hair with gel to define the natural curl definition)"? I am curious to see that look on you.
Who cares if she tips her head back when she does a length check, who cares if she said waist but ment bra strap....you guys hate to much, you are just jealous. Excellent job BBBD, I love to see black women achieving their goals. Keep up the good work.
@pbg98pbgpbg98pbg I don't think everyone was asking about her accurate length out of hate. Especially me, because I really wanted to make sure that when I say I'm waist I truly am accurate. I don't want to be shouting I've reached a certain hair goal that I haven't quite reached yet. Maybe some have a hidden agenda to why they commented on her length, but some of us really want to learn and make sure we are getting the facts.
@NaturallyGrowing This is a video about hair, not building a Rocket ship, people make errors....its not that big a deal. She made a great video, she is human, I gaurantee you in another video she will once again say something inaccuarate, we (people) do that. Do we not allow people to make errors anymore. Shes not perfect, neither am I, and I am sure you are not eathier. Stop pointing out people flaws for once, see the good in what they are doing.
@pbg98pbgpbg98pbg It's not about pointing out flaws it's about asking questions of someone who's videos are to teach. I don't expect for anyone to be perfect but if you're putting yourself in the position to teach people it shouldn't be a problem if people want to ask questions if they're unsure about something. Learning about something you aren't sure about shouldn't be looked at as a negeative. I'm sure she doesn't mind answering questions for people who truly want to learn.
Hey Nina..I love, love, love your hair, but I truly think that your measurements are off. I hope you don't mind, but let me recommend that you visit @longhairdontcare2011's channel. Now that girl has true, natural waistlength hair---no doubt. She doesn't really post too much anymore, but here pictures and videos are there for all to see. Love your videos and I will be getting the Zipporah stuff for my daughter's hair on your recommendation.
One more comment/question: I experience a lot of single strand knots. Have you ever struggled with this and do you have any advice on how to get rid of them?
@purplegal05 i notice when i wear my hair curly i get a lot of knots. So its best to avoid wash and goes and wear your hair stretched, like you can put it in big braids or twists and let it dry like that. mainly dont allow your hair to dry loose, dont go to sleep with it loose, and dont twirl it on your fingers finally keep it well moisturized. that works for me maybe it will help you too
I really like your videos because most naturals are so anti-heat, but you prove that you can use heat sometimes and still have beautiful HEALTHY hair.
It was nice to see the blowout results. I would love to see what your hair looks like flat-ironed. It would be beneficial in deciding whether or not to go natural.
BBBD Why don't you ever wear your hair straight? (I love your curly look) I'm just curious of how it looks on you, and we would also be able to clearly see your true length. Could you do that sometime?
3 inches from waist? Maybe I use a different measurement of waist but it seems like she's between bra strap and midback. In her last length check video she was a little below bra strap, but I don't know maybe what I thought was bra, mid, and waist are off.
Think about where the back of bra strap is suppose to lay. If her hair is about 2 inches below the bra strap than it makes sense that her hair is probably 3 or 4 inches from waist length. You have to keep in mind that she is petite and a lot of women have short waist. On me, if my hair was her length I would also be not that far from waist length.
@ladyEulaelie Oh ok, I see what you're saying. I too am petite and do realize that what is waist on me may be bra or mid back on someone else who is much taller. Thanks for explaining.
does your hair grow out or down? did you get you hair cut into a bob style to make it look like that? I want my hair to look like that but I think my hair grows out instead of down.
@pammish11 our naturally curly, kinky hair grows up/out naturally. when your hair gets longer it will begin to grow down. remember she did a blow out so of course her hair will be down but the length makes it hang down because your hair can only grow outward for so long before gravity takes its toll.
how damp/wet is your hair when you start blow drying because i know some ladies who allow their hair to air dry first and some who blow dry while their hair i still wet.
I would love to see you use a flat iron one time just to see the actually lenth of your hair :) Your hair is similar to my cousin's hair. Their hair can get straight, but shrinks right back after a whole day lol I never thought hair could shrink that much!!
