okay i just noticed something else. totally weird. both bob dylan and donovan put the lines in about her hands and her being made out of glass. this cannot just be a coincidence since both donovan and dylan dated Baez. i sense a jealousy song battle!

@chattychar Actually "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" was written about Dylan's first wife Sara Lowndes not Joan. And I don't think Donovan actually dated Joan, he just had a crush on her and they did sing a version of "Colours" together. But nice observation anyway :)

this sounds a lot like Bob Dylan's "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" and the lyrics almost match up with eachother. on donovan's it begins "your smile beams like sunlight on a gull's wing" and Dylan's starts out "with your mercury mouth in the missionary times"
