The moment when your asleep but still conscious to the world, and this is the thing you hear. This moment is so incredible, I just cant even explain it...
I remember when all my friends freaked out because Paramore wrote a song for those godaweful Twilight book. Wellllll, suck it cuz there are three songs writen for House of Leaves, plus the book was writen for intellectuals and people who really enjoy to read and not old cat women with no lives or preteen girls who think their so badass now because they think their reading a porno because Edward and Bella have sex one time in the book.
I remember falling asleep while listening to Juturna and waking up during the middle of this song... it was like discovering a hidden treasure lol. Such a great song.
@random69name69 It's not possible. You have to read it to understand it. Even reading the sparknotes can't explain correctly what it was actually about. It will mindfuck you harder than finding out your mom is a male.
If i had one wish, I would go back in time to the first time I listened to this album to relive the experience. I honestly don't think I will ever come across something as musically invigorating as this album was.
I highly doubt Circa is ever gonna be able to top anything like Juturna. The problem is in part how much fans have elevated Anthony Green's egohaving to do with his voice. The different shades of emotionsin vocals are gone, the sense of tragedy and conflict, the voices and sense of drifting in the guitars, the penetrating drums .. Now they sound like something for littlemodern kids to listen to.
@Illuser i disagree, on letting go was incredible, and then blue sky noise is a legit album with deep emotional songs , those two albums top juturna to me
this song means so much to me i cant even put into words the true beauty of this song... if it wasnt for circa i wouldve gone totally insane,,, ANTHONY GREEN IS MY LIFE!!! <3
This is beautiful, it makes me feel like i'm in a country land of green with hills, in the fall close to to sun down while the leaves are orange and yellow and falling with the wind while im laying down, alone, listening to this, lasting forever.-3
I always think to myself, that if I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life, and that song only, what would it be? I think I have finally come to the conclusion that this song is perfect
One of the most thoughtful awe-inspiring songs. It questions reality and social interaction with such thought its unreal. Johnny Truant would have been proud yo
I read "House of Leaves" back in October, and the song "Spirit of the Stairwell reminded me of that book. This was before I even knew THIS song existed, which I just discovered today. You can imagine my surprise..
The best Circa song, ever. I don't get any feeling as amazing as the one I derive from this song, from any other song they've ever done. It's perfect.
these emotions make me feel like when all your memories are coming back to you like you forgotten them and didn't want remember something, you couldn't say...
The song "Meet me in Montauk" Is based off "Eternal Sunshine Of the Spotless Mind" This song "House Of Leaves" Is based off the Book "House Of Leaves" By Mark Z. Danielewski. Read it, it will make sense of the song.
Driving down the highway at four in the morning, "You'd mean so much more to me... if I remembered." Every ray of hope extinguished into anxious settling until the tide works it's rhythmic pattern over you, sweeping away the old. "Hey now, overcome... your concern about the weather and whether or not I'm still alive check the vital signs... " The most intense hidden track ever, all things considered.
@brookieisemo At the time? No sleep, some chick, lots of caffeine, nicotine, some green, and though I wasn't "on" it at the time, I was highly influenced by a salvia experience I had not long before the post mentioned. some 60X.
@RockingTheFro oh my god, i completely agree. i loved house of leaves, seriously my favorite book ever. but only revolutions, it was.... i don't know.... different? interesting. but the big difference, i could put it down the first time i read it and haven't reread it like 10+ times. plus i'm glad that i'm not the only one who knew what this song was and what it was about. though i had just thought it coincidence (seriously there seemed to be about 10,000 coincidences related to it)
Wow that song totally fucking sucked. I can't believe you guys liked it...whatever floats yer boat and all. But yeah this song was fuckin lame. An exceptionally awesome book, but a god awful and boring song. Bah humbug with circa survive. It reminded me of an extremely shitty Tool knock off.
This video was definitely worth my time, you did an amazing job on it putting the pictures and lyrics, real great song. I love listening to this song when i'm alone at home it sounds great without all the noise my going on in my home.
