You can't blame LA Fitness or any facility. There is so much you can do there to avoid theft. They can't put cameras in the locker area, and they definitely can't search every member for things. It's ridiculous. LA Fitness isn't asking for someone to break into someone else's car, locker, etc. Shit like that happens everywhere and you can't blame a gym and its employees for it.
Unfortunately... this isn't just a problem at LA Fitness... I'm a member and Bally, Gold's, and Power House on the west coast and it happened to me... It has nothing to do with the gym. They do traget men's lockers and womens' cars... The location is technically not responsible ...
Wow!, this is not longer a local problem. But a nationwide crime spree. LA Fitness is absolutely doing NOTHNG about it. They need to do somethign about it of else members will cancel thier memberships. This is not a one side responsability.
I go to the LA fitness on Ina and guess what? someone broke into my car and stole my purse. It was 6:30pm with tons of people going in and out. There was a security guard on duty. I think he is involved. I was in the gym for 15 minutes only. I think they wait in other cars for women to go inside. The gym acted like they don't care and the cop they sent kind of also acted like is not important. She said she was not going to follow up on the video cameras... that's my job. sucks!
